El Mirador - the Lookout - a splendid self-catering holiday villa perched high on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean with uninterrupted panoramic sea views. El Mirador looks down onto the beautiful ancient market town of Palamos; an historic active local fishing port with a very Spanish flavour. Local shops & restaurants are plentiful with fresh fish sold daily from the traditional local boats.The villa boasts an extensive poolside sundeck and patio terrace, with a purpose-built pergola and built-in BBQ chimney. A skippered luxury yacht is available for guests to charter by the week or daily. We teach all RYA sailing courses and you can study and sit both theory and practical RYA exams. Our RYA Yachtmaster Instructor Skipper can teach you to sail and assess you for both tidal and non tidal RYA certificates. Sailing: Our Yacht a luxurious Beneteau Clipper 473 built in 2003 is available for charter on a day sail or weekly basis. Bookings for day sailing must be made in advance preferably at the time of booking El Mirador. Your sailing itinerary can be tailored to suit your requirements. If you have the necessary licence the yacht or others from our fleet are available bare boat. Why not stay and sail and spend the second week visiting the Balearic Islands. Details of the Yacht and cruising area will be emailed following your enquiry. The yacht is MCA coded and insured for worldwide charter. We look forward to welcoming you aboard. Why not learn to sail whilst you holiday, all RYA sailing courses are taught by professional RYA Yachtmaster Instructors. From Start Sailing, Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster. You can take all RYA exams here RYA Theory and RYA Practical. Just email for full details of our RYA sailing courses when you stay and sail at our Costa Brava Villa.

RYA Day Skipper and Coastal Theory Courses: From our base here in Calonge, on the Costa Brava we deliver all RYA Theory and Practical Courses and Tuition. Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and the International Certificate Of Competence the licence you need to charter in Spain, power or sail. If you're looking for a villa-sail holiday we can teach you and issue the appropriate ICC Licence where appropriate. For the Skier we have excellent slopes just two hours away and we run sail and ski days out for the more adventurous. If it's an activity holiday you're after then sailing, sking or combining the two in a luxury villa is the holiday for you.

A super holiday

The holiday was very excellent, we where on holiday with 2 family's 4 adults and 3 children age 16,11,10. When you stay in this house you need a car for your daily needs. Approximately 5 minutes away you'll find a big supermarket named suma. The beach is very nice in playa d'aro. I recommend this house.

One little thing I did't like was doghair everywhere in the house and on the terras.

We had a great half term this October in El Mirador. Our party consisted of two adults and four teenagers and we all thought the house was great. The description was accurate, the house clean and the pool cold, but that didn't deter the kids.
There was a large selection of DVD's to entertain us and the owners were helpful with all our prior inquiries and the information pack on arrival very useful.
I would definitely reccomend this house as a luxurious retreat.
