Situated on a steep wooded hillside with pool and superb views over countryside to the south. Within 3kms of a wide range of shopping facilities, restaurants, tennis and golf. Car essential. The house has a large terrace (including shaded barbecue area) and an extensive area of rock garden. There are two bedroom balcony/terraces. Most of the area is completely private. An ideal holiday home in the Spanish style. Two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite). Third bedroom has two vertical bunk beds, ideal for teenagers or individual guests. Exceptionally well equipped and air-conditioned kitchen within the open plan dining and sitting area, leading through a new Conservatory to the terrace and pool. Perfect for one extended family, two couples with or without 'extras'. Even better if you like golf or wish to explore the coast, the medieval towns and villages and the Pyrenean foothills. Or spend a day in Barcelona or historic Gerona.

Notes: Parents with young children are advised to clarify with the owners the specific risks which may apply (because of steepness of site and proximity of pool to French doors). Owners will require written confirmation of the acceptance of these risks. Pool is 8m x 4m (1.9m deep) Driveway is very steep and turning round at the top is awkward (until you have done it once). But it is perfectly safe and manageable for most drivers. TV facilities are set up for UK visitors. Property and pool are managed locally. Owner uses house several times a year. GOLF There are excellent championship courses at Pals, Mas Nou, Caldes de Malavella, Santa Christina and Emporda, and several par 3 courses within 25 miles of the property, offering particularly good value out of season.

GOLF: There are several major 18 hole courses within easy reach. The best is the championship course at Caldes de Malavella (PGA Calalunya). Others include Playa de Pals, Mas Nou, Golf d'Aro (Santa Christina), Serres de Pals and Emporda. There are at least three excellent par 3 courses nearby. Details in house book.

INLAND: There are numerous places to visit in the hills between the Pyrenees and Barcelona. Volcanic areas, medieval towns, monasteries in outlandish situations and areas for remote walking and Catalan native eating. Details in house book.

EXQUISITE EATING OUT: At least five hotels in the area have exceptionlly high standards for visitors. There are a number of restaurants providing food of Michelin Star quality. The top restaurant in Europe (alleged) is on the coast road towards Barcelona. Details in house book.

Golf: Excellent 18 hole courses abound: PGA Catalunya (Spanish Open championship) Mas Nou Santa Christina Playa de Pals Serres de Pals Emporda are the best, all within 35 minutes.
