Villa Cabanyes, located high in the wooded hills of Vizcondado de Cabanyes, near the medieval village of Calonge, offers 2 buildings: the main building with 4 bedrooms all with stunning views overlooking the wooded valley & panoramic sea view, 3 bathrooms with toilet. Separated kitchen, dining room & a spacious lounge, satellite TV system, DVD wireless Internet & hifi-system (iPOD station). The second building is a fully furnished studio apartment with a double bed, a shower & a fully equipped kitchen. The pool (8mx4m) & BBQ are surrounded by paved & lawned areas in a very sunny facing position. Villa Cabanyes is fully equipped for 10 people to relax in total privacy. The villa & the private pool are very private & ideal for a family seeking peace & tranquility. Those seeking more strenuous pursuits will find tennis, diving, horse riding, fishing, cycling all available locally. The area is also paradise for walkers & golfers boasting seven championship 18 hole golf courses.

Villa Cabanyes is located in Vizcondado de Cabanyes on the mountainside just above Calonge, a medieval village, close to some of the best sandy beaches on the Costa Brava. There are many good restaurants locally and wine tasting at different local vineyard. There are seven championship golf courses within a half hour drive and several par three and pitch and putt facilities ideal for beginners or those wishing to improve their short game. The Platje d'Aro water park is just 5 minutes drive from the villa. Barcelona, one of Europe's most vibrant cities, is renowned for its culture, architecture, shops and nightlife and is only one hour away on the train from our local railway station at Caldes. The French border is only hour North and makes a great day out passing through historic Girona and Figuers, the home of the famous Dali museum. Accessibility is easy: only 30 minutes drive from Girona Airport and 75 minutes drive from Barcelona airport.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental rates outside May to September are negotiable. The property has a central heating and a fire place for the winter days. Changeover day is flexible out of July and August giving opportunities for cheaper air flights.
    Special short breaks can arranged out of season e.g. long weekends or golf break. The above rates are exclusive of linen, and bathroom towels (additional charge of EUR11 per person for the whole stay), and a cleaning charge of EUR120. a deposit of 30% is required while booking. The balance has to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Occupancy is for a maximum of 10 people, and commences after 16.30 hrs on the day of arrival, guests are requested to vacate by 10.30am on the day of departure.

Notes: Bedrooms: The lounge area which has its own balcony, is perfect for having breakfast or an evening drink. There are 5 bedrooms, two double bedroom on the first floor and two double bedrooms on the ground level. Bedroom 5 is a large studio room, totally independent of the main house, having its own large terrace, with stunning views. All of the bedrooms are light and modern. The total ground size of the villa is more than 1,300 square meters. The villa is one of the first to be built in Cabanyes, and got the best view - sea view and the bay of Palamos as well as fabulous mountain view. Pretty places of interest to visit LA BISBALL - is best knows as the centre of the Catalan ceramics industry. Its most abiding image and the only one that many visitors see, is the dozens of pottery shops lining Carrer de l'Aigueta on the Girona road. There are good bargains to be had if you shop around, from simple glazed terracotta pots to innovative local designs LLAFRANC - A picturesque fishing village, popular with discerning British since the 1960's, yet still retaining its charm. Pine trees shade a beachfront promenade and yachts flutter in the small marina beside a perfect bay. A coastal path leads to Calella de Palafrugell or you can walk or drive up to the lighthouse at Cap de Sant Sebastian for views back down over Llafranc. CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL - This pleasant resort consists of a series of sandy beaches strung out beneath an old fishing village. The village now includes a few whitewashed holiday villas, but it has lost none of its original charm.

Golf Information : Within 45 min. drive from the Villa there are at least 9 courses. Club de Golf d'Aro at Platja d'Aro - 15 mins, Club de Golf Costa Brava at Sant Cristina - 20 mins, Golf de Pals - 20 mins, Golf Serres de Plas - 25 Mins, 36 holes at Emporda Golf Club - 30 mins, World class PGA Catalunya - 45 minutes, Golf Girona - 45 minutes, Torremirona & Peralada both 45 minutes. A brand new pingpong table is also a nice alternative for fun and some exercise.

Fantastic Holiday

Very nice situated with good view on the Harbor of Palamos. Children had a greattime at the pool. Villa is in good conditons with all the neccessary luxery you need for a very nice holiday. Also in the evening there is a lot to do but in the summerseason it could be very busy in Palomos and Platja DO'ro. But why should you go if everything is around this fantastic location where you have everyday sun.

What a great place. Room enough for ten if needed or 'cozy enough for just two'! We had a fabulous time for 1 week in beginning of june with 4 adults and 3 teenagers. The house was perfekt with all possible facilities! We really enjoyed this holiday villa and of course the pool and the great views. Easy drive to beach (many bays close by the house),restaurants, groceries and activities.

Imagine sitting on your veranda looking at the garden and the inviting swimmingpool below and the opposite countryside views. That's exactly what villa cabanyes is all about. Because of the different levels in the landscaping you can choose either to sit in a quiet corner to enjoy the sun or read a book, or join the others for a splash, or eat lunch / dinner at the barbecue area. In the countryside and at the seaside there are lot's of attractive things to do, eat and enjoy. In short we had a great time at the villa.

This property was in a stunning location with views out across the hills to the sea!
Lots of space inside and ideal for 2 families as we had all the children in the main house and our friends managed a romantic week in the annexe.
It was difficult to get the children out of the pool and we are very sad to be back home!
Is set on a very steep hill, with loads of steps around the villa - not for the elderly or infirm.
Owner's Response: We are very happy to hear that you have enjoyed your holiday so much. I have "warned" you before - the villa is ideal for children and families, and due to the fact that there is a lof of free space indoor and outdoor, everybody finds its private space. We are looking forward to welcome you again in the sunny Costa Brava and our villa.
