Blissful!

The photography of this property does not do it justice and we are so pleased we did not base our choice solely on this - the location is spectacular, looking out towards both the coast and tranquil woodland. The villa itself is beautifully maintained and everything of a high standard. We had the most blissful time here and were loathe to leave our gorgeous surroundings most days!
The villa was superbly equipped and furnished, with everything we needed and top quality too. I especially loved the choice of terraces to sit out on, especially the view from the terrace next to the kitchen, on which we spent lovely peaceful evenings with the BBQ.
TV fanatics are catered for too, with BBC1, 2, ITV and C4, along with the UK Freeview channels!
My only comment would be to replace the living room sofa with something more comfy, but this didn't affect our enjoyment overly, as we spent so much time outdoors, soaking in the view.
The agency staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with lots of local information and advice.
A car is needed, to get out and see the lovely coastline and the beautiful inland towns and villages of Peretallada, Pals and Girona and also to stock up on provisions in Calonge and San Antoni. We managed to visit the local restaurants, however the hill leading to the villa, combined with the heat, meant we did use the car more than we intended in the evenings! With this in mind, it is not a villa for the disabled or infirm, due to the stairs and hill. With a rental car however it is not a problem, so older people can still enjoy the place and the peaceful location.
The local tourist board is an excellent source of information for maps, events, things to do, etc and there is something for everyone in the area - adventure seekers or chilled holidaymakers, there's lots to do or watch or visit within driving distance. In the immediate area, it is a walker's/cyclist's dream.
The villa has no air conditioning, but on opening the windows there is a lovely breeze running through, which more than compensated for it.
I would recommend the villa to those of all ages, looking for peaceful and private surroundings, who are not fussed about being in a central location - for us it was a truly blissful stay and we would definitely return and recommend it to our friends - thank you Tony!
Owner's Response: A very much appreciated and thorough review of Villa Antoni. I agree it is so difficult to catch how spectacular the location is in a website pictures - or how comfortable the Villa is.
We are so pleased that all our guests react in the same way to the Villa and its location - its always very good to know that they want to return.
