This stylish villa is situated in the small exclusive Puig Rosell. Its southerly elevated position provides magnificent panoramic views of the Mediterranean sea towards Palamos and the wooded Gavarres hills. Conveniently situated 10 minutes walk from Calonge - a medieval village with its shops, supermarkets and restaurants - and only 5 minutes drive from the delightful sandy Sant Antoni beach. It has been beautifully appointed to a very high standard. It is set in a gated plot with a large 10 x 5 metre private pool. The garden is terraced with areas for sun lovers and for those who prefer shade, and even a boules area for the more active. The covered patio is perfect for outdoor dining. An additional outdoor terrace area complete with teak table and chairs and Spanish feature stone BBQ gives you the perfect choice of where to eat or relax.

Villa Corela is in the desirable area of Puig Rosell. Its elevated position provides magnificent panoramic views from the villa, garden and 2 balconies overlooking the Mediterranean sea and Gavarres hills. The medieval village of Calonge with its castle, markets, restaurants and fiestas is 10 minutes walk away. The beautiful Costa Brava coastline has many tiny coves to explore and also long stretches of sandy beaches offering a variety of watersports. Walking, mountain biking and horse riding are also within easy access. For the golf lover and tennis player there are several excellent courses and clubs in the vicinity. The surrounding Gavarres hills provide spectacular views with many historical villages to visit and winter skiing in the Pyrennees is under 2 hours away. Nightlife, shopping or dining outside on the beach is also on offer in nearby Begur, La Franc, Palamos and along the coast. Catalonia is also famous for Dali and Gaudi and the cathedral cities of Girona and Barcelona

Notes: The house is fully equipped to the highest standards to ensure a truly relaxing and enjoyable holiday. There is even an American fridge/freezer to provide freshly filtered chilled water, crushed ice or ice for the your G & T 's. Sun loungers, sun umbrellas and towels are provided for use around the pool. An additional terracotta table and wrought iron chairs are located on the covered terrace for that perfect 'alfresco' dining. A movable BBQ is available for your use and there is also a feature Spanish stone BBQ and teak table and chairs located on the lower terrace. Inside the dining room table provides ample space to seat 6 and the leather sofa a comfortable retreat. Linen and towels are provided for the bedrooms/bathrooms. A change of linen, extra villa clean during your stay can be requested. We can also arrange a meet and greet service.

Further details for the villa at Puig Rosell: Catalonia boasts a wealth of things to see and do whether by car, public transport or on foot. There is something for everyone. The people are proud of their gastronomy with fish being a speciality. Palamos if famous for its prawns and anchovies. There are a number of excellent Golf courses and Tennis clubs nearby and even a pro-am golf course within 10 minutes drive. Watersports are available at many of the beautiful local beaches At the villa there is a book filled with ideas of things to do and places to visit. There is also a list of tried and tested eating places.

Skiing: Ski resorts in the Spanish Pyrenees are within 2 hours drive. These are also open during the summer months for outdoor pursuits including white water rafting.

Barcelona and Gerona: The wonderful cities of Barcelona and Gerona are 1hour 30 and 45 minutes drive away.

Holiday Idyll

Our party of 4 stayed at the end of June beginning of July 2008 and the villa exceeded our expectations. The pool area was extremely private and with the beautiful gardens and sitting areas we could all pick our perfect spot to soak up the glorious sun. The view from the terrace was lovely and we spent many an evening watching the cruise ships sailing in the distance and then looking at the stars when the sun had gone down.

Everything that you could need was available including ice on tap from the American style fridge freezer for our sundowners! We spent a glorious, relaxing 2 weeks just chilling out.

Would highly recommend a day trip to Barcelona and closer to the villa the medieval viallges of Begur and Besalu which were both really pretty and gave a true flavour of Spain!

This was a well maintained, clean and beautiful villa which we will recommend to family and friends alike!

Having rented in Europe (Spain,France,Italy,Great Britain) each summer for 10 years (2 couples) we would rate the Villa Corela our #1 rental experience; lovely owners, clean, well-furnished, all amenities, great layout, beautiful pool as well as grounds, varied eating, relaxing areas, private, secure, etc.; a perfect spot for exploring the Costa Brava or the interior; area (including Barcelona and Girona) also rates as our favorite along with Provence; experience this rental opportunity-you won't be diappointed.

Perfect place for a much needed week in the sun

We had a wonderful week at Villa Corela relaxing by the pool by day and BBQing by night. The villa and gardens are very well maintained and have everything that you could possibly need. The agent that met us with the keys was very friendly and useful and the villa was clean. The villa is well situated for beaches, supermarkets and other activities, although we didn't do much as relaxing by the pool was so enjoyable. I highly recommend the villa and will certainly be looking to go again next year!

We have just returned from a wonderful break at this villa.We were delighted to arrive with the drive lights on, and to find that it had been left in an immaculate order.The essentials were in place, not least of all a bottle of wine and croissant for breakfast the next morning.
The hillside position gave excellent views, including an aspect of the sea.The privacy provided by the lovely garden, meant total seclusion for almost all sunbathing areas and the pool. We enjoyed dining outside, on the different terraces.
We found the area full of picturesque beaches,coves and walks, together with charming villages. San Antoni beach is very near, and we enjoyed particularly San Pol. Sa Tuna near Begur is tiny and nice for lunch. Pals is a medieval town, well worth a visit.
We hope to visit again
