The villa is in a quiet mountain setting with stunning views. The garden has 3 terraces & a barbecue area. The house looks down onto a farm which climbs to forests of Olive, Oak & Pine trees. No need for the car, set off from the house for many wonderful walks. The house is comfortable & well equipped with many fun & exotic touches. The garden is south facing with fruit trees, lush planting & plenty of space for sun-bathing & wining & dining al fresco, maybe under the leafy pergola. There are typical Catalan restaurants & bars close by.

In the living room there is a ceiling fan & permanent seating for 5 but the rocking chair or others can be included. In the dining room the table extends to seat 6 comfortably. On the covered patio there is a bistro table & chairs, good for breakfasts & drinks. In the garden there are 4 sunbeds & you can take a break from the sun with our shades & leafy pergola. Also, enjoy eating al fresco at our large table under the pergola. Take a glass of wine down to the garden swing seat set on the lower terrace overlooking the valley, magic! The house has spectacular views. The mountainside location means it is necessary to supervise young children

Costa Brava

The Costa Brava true to it's name has a spectacular rugged coastline with wonderful walks alternating with expansive sandy bays, great for swimming & sunbathing. Platja D'Aro close by is a bustling seaside town with great shopping, entertainment & dusk till dawn night life. There are many local restaurants offering terrific value lunch menus or try the more adventurous places for modern Catalan cuisine. The daily market in Palamos is teeming with locally caught fresh fish & other produce or you can buy your fish direct from the boats in the harbour. There are also supermarkets & local shops within easy reach.

Tourist Attractions

Around Calonge,Gerona & Barcelona there is great scope for culture vultures. Some of these towns have wonderful architecture, if that's your thing, or events featuring art, food, wine, music, dance & history. Many fiestas & cultural events take place around Calonge & in many interesting & delightful small towns & villages you can trawl through the antique shops in places like La Bisbal, Pals & Peratallada or rummage through the flea markets that move from town to town. Details can be found at the villa & at the excellent tourist office in Sant Antoni.

The villa & immediate surroundings

The villa is in the urbanisation of Vizcondado de Cabanyes in a mountain setting. The garden looks down onto a farm by the side of a river. The valley then climbs to forests of Pine, Oak & Olive trees. Ten minutes walk away is the sports centre 'Cabanyes Sport with bar & restaurant. A 35 minute walk will take you to Calonge through pretty countryside, to the local bars, cafes & restaurants. Don't forget the excellent golf courses close by.

'A lovely villa in a peaceful setting. Enjoyed exploring all the rocky coves near Calella which are great for snorkeling. Would have liked to stay longer'.
