The villa is located in the prestigious Vizcondado de Cabanyes near Calonge, an unspoilt medieval village. Markets are held daily in the local villages and fresh sea produce is available from the fishing boats in Palamos. Many of the restaurants, even in the mountains, are open all year round. Barcelona is ideal for a day trip at 1 hr 15 min drive and 40 mins brings you to the charming town of Girona. For the more adventurous walker (or skier), the Pyrenees are accessible in 2 hours.
