5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 12 persons easily, Ideal for two families

This villa is located on the slopes of Puig Sec in the beautiful Costa Brava village of L'Escala. With breath-taking views of the bay of Roses and the Pyrenees, the property boasts matured south facing beautiful gardens with shaded areas and a large swimming pool with plenty of sun. This villa is on three floors, and recently has had a new kitchen and three refurbished bathrooms. From the front door the main living area is found with separate kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a dining terrace with steps leading to the lovely garden below. The upper floor has a bedroom, large bathroom and terrace with amazing views. The lower floor has a second kitchen, second large living room and dining area with direct access to a further dining terrace, 1 very large bedroom with 4 single beds, 1 further double room and a very large bathroom. The nearest beach is located at 10-15 min walk, along with numerous bars, restaurants and supermarkets all within walking distance.

The Spanish seaside village of L'Escala is situated on the Mediterranean, 50 km south of the French-Spanish border and 140 km north of Barcelona. L'Escala is a cosmopolitan village, boasting 6 clean and safe beaches offering every water sport. There are many speciality restaurants, dozens of cafes and bars, a yacht marina, fishing harbour and extensive Greco Roman ruins at nearby Empuries. High season brings a fun fair and a variety of beach side restaurants are open with an abundance of choice.

About L'Escala: In summer the town becomes bustling but not at all rowdy. The absence of any high-rise buildings gives it a bright and friendly atmosphere. Its geographical position makes it an ideal base for travelling further afield. Nearby Figueres was home to the famous artist Salvador Dali. Then there are the 'Villages Typiques' just north of the border near Perpignan. To the south there is the provincial capital of Gerona and the capital of Catalonia - Barcelona. To the west is the lake at Banyoles, Ripoll, duty free Andorra and the snow-capped Pyrenees with skiing for many months of the year. 2km north lies the walled medieval village of St. Marti with its pleasant Plaza Major, many bistros and pretty church and museum.

How to get to L'Escala: By Air: Most British airports have flights to Girona (Costa Brava). JMC Britannia, Ryanair or Buzz from Stansted to Perpignan, then taxi. Liverpool or Luton or East Midlands to Barcelona(Easyjet or BMi Baby) then underground train to Sants Station, change for Port Bou train, get off at Flaca Station, then taxi.

By Coach: Victoria bus station to Figueres (Eurolines/Julia) then taxi.

By Car: Ferries from Plymouth, Portsmouth, Newhaven and Dover (also Hull/Zeebrugge). Routes through France via Lyon provided by the AA/RAC. Cross French/Spanish border on motorway A9/A7, take exit 5 sign posted Escala. From N11 (2) at border (Le Perthus) then at Figueres take exit marked Escala/La Bisbal.

perfect family holiday villa

very nice house for three family's nice and cleanpool.
interior is simple as in most spanish rental villa's but there is all you need.
nice keyholders who are there if you need them
we went to L'escala for seven years now and this was our best house so far. Specialy the pool is a heaven for the kid's make sure that they can realy swim well before you rent a villa with a pool.

Plenty of space for 2 families up to 12 persons. Lovely terraces and garden with pool. Nice area with beaches, shops and restaurants in walking distance.

The Villa was superb the care from owner was excellant i will recommend this villa definatly.We did visit the Roman City remains which is very interesting i cannot recommend any restaurants as we were a bit early in season a lot of places were not open but we all enjoyed our holiday i would use holiday rentals again thank you for your kind assistance
