Great town, wonderful property

My husband and I spend time in Europe every year, coming over from the US. We flew Ryan Air into Girona, which is only about 30 mins from San Feliu. The property was perfect, in a quiet and beautiful area, but still only a quick 5 or 10 min walk into town. The villa was clean, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner even arranged to have some special baby items for us (cot and high chair), since we were there with our 2 young children. There was also a welcome pack there for us when we arrived which had a variety of food and drinks, prefect for tired travelling parents. The location was great, with a stunning view to the sea from an old hermitage just a couple of steps from the villa. We found San Feliu to be a safe, family friendly town with great shops, restaurants, and bars. The boardwalk there along the beach is perfect for families, lots of entertainment for the kids. It was a convenient base to do road trips from, too, though you wouldn't necessarily need a car there. We saw some of the Dali museums, drove up the coast to some picturesque coastal villages, and even spent a "city" day in Barcelona, which is very close. Even though we visited in the winter, the weather was really good, sunny and very mild, with only one rainy day the whole trip. We definitely plan to come back in the summer with our extended family to enjoy some of the warm weather there. The kids would love the beach then and there is a very nice pool in the gardens of the property that would be great to use then, too. I highly recommend this property and plan to stay there again.
