Spectacular views of La Herradura bay, Cerro Gordo Mountains and National Park. Situated in Carmenes del Mar, a small exclusive development with tropical plants, gardens, communal pool, tennis. Lovely house with private pool over 3 floors. Large living room on first floor leading to terrace and gardens. 4 double bedrooms, 3 leading directly onto large terrace. 2 bathrooms, (1 ensuite), 1 cloakroom, utility room. On the lower floor there is an extremely spacious living area with sofas and T.V/DVD also kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is built to a high specification with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. French doors lead onto large terrace with grassed area,flowers,tropical plants, swimming pool and shower. As we live in the house for part of the year and do not use it entirely as a holiday let it is furnished to a high design. Approx.5 min by car to the seafront, 30 min approx walk downhill. For relaxation, sunshine, stunning views then this is for you.

La Herradura is a small unspoilt town with local shops, restaurants and water sports including a diving centre. Surrounded by the Cerro Gordo mountains and National Park, ideal for walkers, horse riding, biking, nature lovers, artists and writers. It is also famous for paragliding. It has a small daily market for fresh produce and a good bakery. Akmunecar is the nearest town about 15 minutes away. Malaga is about an hour away, great for shopping, dining out or visiting the Picasso museum, the port and parks. Granada in the opposite direction is famous for the Alhambra Palace and its Moorish architecture, also traditional flamenco held late at night in the caves below the Alhambra. Further along from Granada are the Sierra Nevada mountains with a ski resort for skiing in season. From Algeciras you can take the ferry to Tangiers, Morocco for something different. Notes: You approach the house by going down some steps which lead to a garden with tropical plants and trees including bougainvillea, jasmine, lemon tree and others. There is also a terrace here with a table and chairs withview to the Cero Goro mountaisn, stunning sea views of La Herradura Bay and the National Park. There is a separate staircase from here which leads down to the swimming pool. On the next level there is a further large terrace with table, chairs and sun loungers. At the bottom level there is a terrace with a grassed area, tropical flowers and plants, an outside shower, table with chairs, sun loungers and barbeque. The views from every terrace are uninterrupted, just sea and mountain and the bay of La Herradura. There is a garage which is for owners use only to store belongings. Guest comments It was a wonderful holiday. The house and garden was marvellous. We really enjoyed staying there and especially the view was lovely and astonishing. We saw the sun rise almost every morning from the bedroom. We had a superb holiday. Your house is exceptional and possibly the best we have rented. The gardens are already superb and soon will be absolutely stunning, We had a lovely time in your holiday house and enjoyed it very much. I am tying to remember the advert but I think you may have underplayed the joy of the views from the house from every possible window and terrace. The house was lovely and very well equipped. We had an absolutely wonderful time at the villa. We found it spacious, comfortable and beautifully equipped. The kitchen is brilliant, it was an absolute pleasure to use. The views from the villa are simply stunning and sitting on the terrace watching the sunrise was a magical experience.

Other Activities: Ski-ing in Sierra Nevada, usually from Nov/Dec to end April. About 1hr.30min. Golf at Los Moriscos in Motril
