Elegant Family House on Exclusive Small Complex
This elegant house is situated in a quiet complex with beautiful views, overlooking the horse-shoe shaped bay from which La Herradura gets its name. La Media Luna is well-equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge-freezer, microwave, oven and hob and has been recently furnished and decorated. The property is air-conditioned/centrally heated. It has a private patio facing the bay with tables/chairs for al fresco eating. A five-minute walk takes you down to the beach, although it may take longer to get back as it is uphill! However, there is plenty of parking at the beach, should you prefer to drive. The complex has extensive garden areas and an excellent pool with showers and changing rooms, a bar and meal service ( nominal charge for use of the pool). La Herradura is an unspoilt Spanish town with shops, bars and excellent restaurants, water sports and parking. Easily reached by car are the beautiful tourist attractions of Granada, the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada

Salobrena and Almunecar, with its larger shops and supermarkets, are nearby. Granada, with the Alhambra and its great history, is within an hour's drive, as is the Sierra Nevada with its beautiful mountains and Winter sports. The lovely scenery of Andalusia is easily accessible for those who like to explore, either by walking or by car. There are weekly markets in most of the local towns. BmiBaby and Flybe offer budget flights from the Midlands. There are several good car-hire firms to choose from and cars can usually be picked up from and returned to Malaga Airport at any time.

Montepino 1 is part of an exclusive development on the Cerro Gordo promontory. The pool with showers, toilets, changing rooms and bar/cafe is 2 minutes walk and the tennis courts are next to a bar/restaurant, also only a few minutes walk from the house. The tennis courts also have a court for paddle tennis and a salsa dancing class is available too. A brand new gymnasium has been opened which has the last word in equipment if you are feeling energenic! The village is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive and, whilst quite unspoilt, has many restaurants and traditional bars, small shops and supermarkets, banks, a pharmacy, newsagent and local food market with fresh meat, fish and vegetables daily. There are no noisy night clubs - the bars stay open very late but are quiet!
Other Activities Skiing at nearby Sierra Nevada and 3 golf courses within half-hour drive.
