El Refugio sits on the exclusive San Carlos spur which overlooks La Herradura village and bay a kilometre distant. The house (500ft above sea level) stands in its own grounds (2500m2) and has a spectacular 'infinity' pool measuring 10.5 x 5m. The house is surrounded by large terraces which means that sun and shade can be enjoyed throughout the day. The uninterrupted views from the terraces provide magnificent views of the sea and of the Sierra mountains behind. The house with its annex makes an ideal residence for a two family holiday.

El Refugio is situated a kilometre above the village of La Herradura, which is equidistant between the famous city of Granada (The Alhambra) and Malaga. Both are within an hours distance driving.. The house itself sits half way up the San Carlos spur, which has a total of only 13 houses upon it. The house is approached by a private tarmac road off the N-340 and enjoys complete privacy and seclusion as its gardens are surrounded by mature trees.

Notes: There is ample parking for five cars. The main part of the house is on one level, and to enter it or use the main terrace requires negotiating one step only. The 'infinity' pool can be reached either by steps from the main terrace or annex or, by use of the road which means it can be accessed by wheel chair with supervision. The pool itself has steps at the shallow end. The swimming pool can be secured though it is not gated/fenced. The main terrace has access direct to the kitchen, and has a built in barbecue so that meals can be taken outside if required.
