Upstairs is a fully fitted kitchen with dining area; and a large airy sitting room opening on to the balcony. Above is a spacious roof terrace with views over the village and beyond to the mountains. The house is centrally situated in the rural village of Pinos del Valle, a few minutes walk from a bakery, bank, pharmacy, several shops and the Bar Venecia on the main street. There are many local walks in the area, and around the nearby lake, which lies in the centre of the valley. The historic Moorish capital of Granada is 25 minutes away; Seville and Cordoba are 2 and a half hours away and worth an overnight stay; the coast is 25 minutes due south; the snow in the mountains (spectacular in winter months) is accessible in under an hour.

Valle de Lecrin

This is a beautiful unspoilt and undiscovered area with its own microclimate. Orange and lemon groves abound, and almond trees blossom from February, jasmine flowers in summer. The climate is warm in the daytime all year round, but nights can be cold from November to March, with possible rain in October (necessary for the olive harvest). You could swim at the coast in the morning, and ski in the afternoon. There is a series of 12 local walks of varying length and difficulty - details in the house.

Excellent swimming pool with cafe in Lecrin, 3km away. Ski resort is approx. an hour away.
