An absolute delight

Casa Piedra is an absolute delight, set high up in the charming old town with marvellous views. It is approached via narrow streets and a series of tight bends, so a small car is preferable. There is no problem with parking by the house, which also has a garage.
The house itself is very comfortable and spacious inside and with a number of outside terraces so, while it provides a great space for convivial living, there is never any question of being unable to find a quiet corner in which to read or write or paint. The garden is lovely and, although we didn’t venture into it (we were there in January), the swimming pool immaculate.
Three of the bedrooms overlook the sea and the bathrooms are modern and well maintained. For those who want to cook for themselves, there's a well-equipped kitchen and two large dining tables – one inside and one outside. For others, whose idea of a holiday is never to go near a cooker, there are umpteen restaurants, of all kinds, in town and along the sea-front. The owners provide recommendations on restaurants and bars etc. (including comments from recent visitors) and there is a large folder which is full of useful information about the house, the town, the area…..
Casa Piedra doesn’t feel like a ‘holiday let’. It’s a much-loved home.

Owner's Response: It is great that out of season holidays can be so successful. (Our swimming pool maintenance man, Emelio, thinks that November is frequently one of the best months of the year for fine weather.) Additionally, because of our location in a secluded part of the old town, if the weather does become less friendly, it is always easy to get to the local bars and restaurants. No other villa in Salobreña of our type is so well located.
