A great week's break

My wife and I are advertisers on HR, so were interested to be renters rather than landlords. Everything went very smoothly. The information about the house was very comprehensive, how to get there, pick up the keys and so on well explained. The small hiccups we had were dealt with immediately by the landlord and his excellent local team.
The part of the accommodation we used (the top floor) is compact and user-friendly, the kitchen reasonably well equipped and the layout would be excellent for a family with two children. The downstairs accommodation would be good if you wanted a slightly separated arrangement (eg a second couple who wanted privacy part of the time).
We were at Casa Hannah at the beginning of March. The weather for part of the time was pretty dreadful, but the sun came out the second half of our holiday. By that time the water in the pool had heated up sufficiently for me to swim. I'm used to coldish water from many holidays in western Ireland, and it was certainly warmer than the Atlantic in August! The swimming pool is terrific, and the view from the terrace where you sit round the pool is quite lovely.
Casa Hannah is away from the main drag, set up a hill. You'll need a car for almost any activity away from the house. We timed the drive from the bottom of the hill to the house (almost at the top) at 8 minutes. Half way down is the estate office and complex. I used their wifi almost every day and the staff were extremely helpful.
There is masses to do in the area. We took off for Granada for a couple of days as the weather was improving. A tremendous city, with the Alhamra, Lorca's house Cathedral etc. 2 days isn't really enough to see what's on offer. The Alpuharras, on the southern side of the Sierra Nevada are beautiful, as are the caves at Nerja. There is definitely something for everyone and for all age groups.
We found the locals very friendly, but you'll need your Spanish dictionary, as not many, where we went, spoke much English.
We really recommend the house, the immediate area and all the parts of Andalucia we were fortunate to see.
