Casa Girasol - beautiful spacious villa with private heated pool

A beautiful spacious villa high up above Salobrena with views to the mountains and sea. It is very well equipped and situated in a tranquil location, with pretty gardens including lawned areas and a variety of fruit trees, and with private heated pool with terrace. Outside the dining room there is a covered terrace which overlooks the pool area, and an upstairs balcony accessible from 2 of the bedrooms. Easy level access to villa and gardens, with downstairs en-suite bedroom. The heated pool is a real luxury for holidays outside the hottest months of July/August. Situated in a pleasant, peaceful residential area but only 5km from Salobrena and beaches, bars, shops and restaurants. Come to a part of Spain which has escaped the usual tourist excesses, and soak up the atmosphere.

Monte de los Almendros is a charming residential area situated just a short drive up the hillside from the main coastal road and overlooking the beautiful hilltop town of Salobrena. The Costa Tropical is typified by its rugged coastline with mountains coming right down to the sea, and retains its true Spanish character. A breath of fresh air for those tired of other over-developed areas of coastal Spain but with all the required facilities. Blessed with the warmest winters in mainland Europe due to its sheltered position.

  • A reasonable extra charge is made if pool heating is required, depending on the selected temperature.

Level access to house. Downstairs bedroom with en-suite shower room. Pool access via sloped path from dining room terrace. Very suitable for party which includes the less mobile. The pool area is gated to prevent access by small children. The 9th person is accommodated in one of the twin rooms where there is ample room for the foldaway bed which is available in the villa. In addition, it is also possible to accommodate a small child in the cot for which there is space in any of the other 3 bedrooms.

Local Area

The white town of Salobrena with its hilltop Moorish castle is within a few minutes drive. It is a relaxing place, with lovely vistas across the sugar cane fields, and inland to the snowcapped Sierra Nevada. Almunecar and Motril are other interesting closeby towns, and a little further afield is the resort of Nerja. Granada and the Alhambra Palace can be reached in less than an hour - a very worthwhile day out, and the Sierra Nevada ski resort is only a short distance further. A 9 hole golf course on the coast is within 10 minutes. This is a delightful spot from which to explore the history and culture of Southern Spain
