The villa is situated at 700 feet directly above the Mediterranean coastline, hence the spactular sea views. Salobrena has Europe's warmest winters and is on a still largely unaffected by the developments that have occurred elsewhere on the Spanish Costas. It is just 45 minutes from Granada and the Alhambra and 75 minutes from skiing in the Sierra Nevada. The closeness of the Sierra Nevada means that Salobrena is warmer in the winter than anywhere else in Mainland Europe and cooler in summer than anywhere else on the south coast. Humidity is low all year round. The Alpujarras, between Salobrena and Granada, besides providing beautiful walking are also home to a number of old Andalusian white villages some caught in a veritable time warp and still unchanged. Meanwhile the local towns of Salobrena, Almunecar and Motril provide a number of places of historical interest plus a full range of beaches, bars, restaurants and local markets.
