Sitting by the pool, enjoying the sun and the incredible 5-mile view in both directions, I could not believe it was all real and mine to enjoy. What a glorous place in the sun for a vacation. The house itself is lovely. We enjoyed cooking in the generous and well equipped kitchen and grilling outside. Even though I am a die hard tourist, I found the allure of Nomad's Retreat irresistible and spent much of the week revelling in its unique joys.
Kate and Stephen are generous, caring hosts. They answered our questions and are a joy to have around. We parted as friends and I really hope to spend time with them in the future. Hey Kate, join me in Miami some time at my place at the Shelborne!!
And to top it all off there is the 46' yacht, The Optimist. What a fabulous boat and what a great afternoon we had on it. She was masterfully handled by Stephen, a Captain I would willingly set out to sea with. Kate provided a lovely repast and there were drinks aplenty.
At the week's end I really did not want to leave and return to reality. What a sweet, sweet retreat.

paradise in a nutshell - the ultimate getaway

We have just had (June 2009) the most magical relaxing week at Nomads Retreat. You know how you sometimes book things online and when you get there its not what you were expecting? Well this WON'T happen here! It’s stunning, beautiful, relaxing, picturesque and has the option of a busy holiday with day trips or a relaxing getaway - its up to you. Kate and Steven were warm and friendly and had lots of excellent suggestions on what to see and where to go. She was so kind and helpful. The house lacked nothing and had lots of areas you could get away from a group if you wanted some space. The pool was lovely and clean and the spa pool was fab after a long day walking around the Palace (suggest you book tickets on line to avoid disappointment)!

Steven's charter yacht was an incredible day out, and we felt so spoilt sipping champagne in the sun while sailing up the Mediterranean coast with the crystal clear water lapping the hull. We even saw a sun fish! I'd definitely recommend Stevens sailing trip! His luxury yacht is certainly built for comfort!

We were desperately in need of some time-out to read, relax and re-assert, and Nomads Retreat was the perfect contemplative haven for this. We hope its not too long before we can return!

My family and I just spent the most incredible week at Nomads retreat; so much so, it's very hard being back at work!

Our hosts Kate and Steve were just fantastic, you could ask them anything and they would be more than helpful; they were always near by if you required anything or had any questions; the villa is very well equipped and very comfortable and it has lovely rooms and a big ensuite to the room off the balcony. A lovely spacious kitchen with all the mod cons/pans you'd require. The villa is really beautiful and cosy.

The infinity pool is just wonderful and the Jacuzzi was the icing on the cake; the area that the villa is in is just stunning and Kate has lots of walks which she can send you off on as well as the amazing walk to the near by lagoon - which was just magical; If you love walking or a gentle stroll this is a must.

I hope to be back for a skiing holiday; apparently you can ski by day and sunbath back at the villa at around tea time! The Costa Tropical stays warm all year round - what a treat!

We can really recommend this house to everyone !
We were there with 4 adults , 3 children and one baby from13 - 22 February
It is situated very beautiful on a hill. You can look to the sea and also the hills.
On this busy coast it is a very quiet corner. But when you want shops and interesting cities and the Alpujarras this is very near !! Kate and Stephan are friendly and helpful people!
We loved the place and were very happy to have had a week of sunshine in February !!!
We loved the garden and the jacuzzi very much!

Its not very often i write a review in fact this is my first. I feel i must because this was simply the best house we have stayed in with our young family. We arrived feeling tired and tense and by the end of our week which flew by we left feeling very much revived, relaxed and very sad to leave.
The house has a wonderful feel about it, fabulous views and is so comfortable i could have stayed forever. We all made ourselves right at home and the place was very well equipped, clean and well maintained. It is a wonderful place any time of year.
The hostess Kate was a true gem, very friendly, very helpful and kind without being intrusive. Steve the host was also lovely , very relaxed and helpful. They seem to take a very hands on approach and a real pride in the place which is a refreshing change from the many places you stay in and feel short-changed. I would recommend this place to anybody with or without children, it was just a wonderful place to chill out and take stock.
