No 7 Puerto Marina is a o­ne double bedroomed Apartment with stunning views across the Mediterranean to all rooms. The Apartment was completed in February 2004. The Apartment can have a maximum of two adults and two children or three adults (the second bed being a double sofa bed). It has a washing machine, full size oven and hob, microwave, full size fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, clothes airer, hairdryer, etc. It has a 30 foot terrace which can be accessed through patio doors in both the lounge and the bedroom, with sunbeds and dining furniture. It is fully air-conditioned with units in both lounge and bedroom and also ceiling fans. These units provide heating in winter months. There are two swimming pools. The apartment is on the 4th floor so will not be suitable for those with mobility problems.

Mojacar is a low key resort, perfect for families, and couples both young and not so young. There are no high rise hotels, or obvious nightclubs. It has a wonderfully quite safe promenade that runs for miles with a separate cycle lane, a fantastic space for scooters, or roller blades, the beach runs for miles and even in high season there is plenty space. There are lots of restaurants catering for all tastes, English, Chinese, Indian, Italian, and Mexican and of course Spanish. Mojacar Village, which is set on a hilltop above the beach resort, is typically Moorish with whitewashed walls and winding streets. The surrounding area includes the Water Dam at Cuevas De Almanzora, the National Park at Cabo de Gata, a Water park at Vera, Minihollywood, and the old Fishing Port of Garrucha. There are two large weekly markets, Wednesday at Mojacar Village and Fridays at Garrucha. If you want peace and relaxation with just the right amount of things for children to do this is for you.

  • Bookings require a 20% non refundable deposit with the balance payable six weeks before departure. All bed linen and bathroom towels are provided, however please bring beach towels and tea towels. Prices above are based on 2 persons sharing, a supplement for laundry and cleaning is levied for 3rd and 4th person.
    Welcome packs to your specification can be arranged for the cost of the items required.

Notes: The apartment is on the 4th floor and not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. There is a four star hotel on the complex where it is possible to book meals if needed, and also Internet access is available at the hotel. The second bed in the apartment is a double sofa bed and is suitable for two children or one adult. This is a quite complex and even in high season at certain times of the day you can have the pool completely to yourself.

Golf Enthusiasts: Golfers are well served in Mojacar, with Marina de la Torre and Macenas, within five minutes drive and Desert Springs Golf course about 20 minutes drive away.

Naturists: Popular with naturists are Tower Beach and Treasure Cove Beachs which are about a mile away from the Puerto Marina going in the opposite direction to Mojacar Playa towards Carboneras.

Airports and Getting Around: Though Almeria is the local airport it is also possible to use Alicante (2.5 Hours) and Murcia (2 hours), the drive to Mojacar is mainly motorway and these are generally quite. Car hire however is not necessary as there is a Yellow Bus service in season from the hotel which goes along the Playa and up into the Village. The local Blue Bus also runs a regular bus service to Garrucha and beyond, however the Apartment is in an elevated position so the upward walk is steep.

Had a wonderful holiday here, directions were excellent and we found the appartment very clean and comfortable with everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. The terrace was huge with the most amazing views of the sea; it was lovely to sit out there in the sun watching the boats and the activity on the beach. We hired a car as there are some lovely little villages to visit but we also walked down to the nearby Hotel (about a 5 minute or so walk) & caught a bus which stopped all along the Playa & took you up to Mojacar Pueblo. Lovely Restaurant at La Parata - just above the Playa - called La Parata - 3 course lunch time Menu for 10 euros, with a generous glass of wine & excellent food. The Owner was very helpful when booking and answered our many questions on local area, etc. and there was also an onsite Manager if you had any problems (which we didn’t). We will certainly want to book this appartment again.

Great week in Mojacar

My girlfriend and I stayed at the apartment for a week during July 2009. We both found it to be incredibly comfortable and relaxing, with fantastic views of the surroundings.

As a couple in our early twenties, there was plenty to keep us entertained, with a wide range of restaurants and bars in the evening. During the day we were quite happy to stay within the resort, sunbathing on the spacious balcony or heading down to the pool. We didn't rent a car, as everywhere we wanted to visit was within walking distance or a short trip on the bus (just 1 euro).

During our stay we had fantastic weather, with the last day reaching 46 degrees Celsius. Fortunately the apartment was very well air-conditioned and this meant that sleeping during the night was very comfortable.

There is a fairly steep hill up to the apartment from the hotel, but if you take the road down from the large pool at the bottom, you'll find the route to be much shorter and slighter in steepness.

Excellent appartment

We have rented this apartment several times in the past few years. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the views out to sea are fabulous. The apartment is very well equipped and there is also a local manager who has a great knowledge of the area. We have always found the complex to be quiet even when we visited in high season and we will return in the near future.

Wonderful sea view in a tranquil setting

This apartment itself, was comfortable and relaxing, and absolutely ideal for a couple. The panoramic sea view was stunning.

The apartment is located in the Puerto Marina complex at the extreme Southern end of Mojacar Playa and enjoys a semi rural location.

All the usual facilities were supplied including a travel cot.The air conditioning actually included an element of heating for those odd cooler nights.

The complex was very quiet during our visit, but I would imagine that because of the way of the individual blocks are situated it may be noisier during the peak season.

The only problem could be the stair access. It is on the 4th floor and there is no lift.

The area itself was relatively quiet during our Easter visit, apart from Good Friday, and the restaurants were crying out for business. I won't recommend any places to eat (except for Scooby Doo!!), just do as we did and try them out. There are some really excellent ones and, as ever, one or two not so good. Prices were generally about the same as UK and English is usually spoken.

Visit the Pueblo, Vera Beach, San Juan de Los Terreros - superb child friendly beach, the town of Vera with its Bull Ring, the cave houses at Cuevas de Almanzora, Albox for its Tuesday market, drive over the Sierra Filabres, you will probably have the beautiful mountain roads to yourself.

One last point; there is a long steep hill to access the apartment block, although there is an excellent local bus service terminating at the hotel, a hire car would be strongly recommended.

The apartment has the most stunning sea view from a hill above the coastline on the southern end of the Paseo de Mediterraneo. A car ist a must , unless you are a professional climber .
Very large terrace , functionally equipped .....friendly reception by local manager......all-in-all I really liked the place .
There should be not only sky TV....non-British guests might want to see other programmes.....also local Spanish TV might have been nice to have for weather forecasts , local news etc.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We do have a Spanish Aeriel in both the lounge and the bedroom, and in the summer we will look to putting a television in the bedroom solely on the Spanish Channels.
