Are you looking for a spacious comfortable 2 bed 2 bath apartment in an elevated position of Mojacar Playa with spectacular views over the Med? Look no further. We have an apartment for rent in Puerto Marina, it is comfortably furnished with 4 single beds (can be pushed together easily) and a double sofa bed, the kitchen has a full size cooker (ceramic hob) extractor fan, washing machine, large fridge freezer, microwave & all you would expect to see in a well equipped kitchen. We have air condition, satellite TV (freeview channels), DVD player and hi-fi system. The air con converts to heating for winter & there is also heating in the bedroom. The lounge has 2 sofas, one 3 seater (sofa bed) and one 2 seater and patio doors onto the terrace which is 37sq m & ideal for sunbathing and outdoor dining. The indoor dining area has table and 6 chairs and display cabinet. The bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, the large bedroom has access to the terrace. We are next to the good sized communal pool.

Puerto Marina is a very quiet complex and is close to the sea, with many shops, bars & restaurants nearby to cater for all tastes. There are 17 km of unspoilt beaches, and even in high season they don't get crowded. The area boasts the best record for dry, warm weather in Europe. There are many places to visit e.g. the lovely old moorish village of Mojacar, in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera with twisting narrow cobbled kasbah streets, old arches and houses stacked one above the other. It is filled with superb restaurants, shops and charming squares and has fantastic mountain views. There are many fiestas to delight the tourist. Mojacar is known in Spain as the Corner of Enchantment. This part of Spain averages only 15 days rain a year and winter temperatures rarely drop below 12 degs. It borders the Cabo-De-Gata-Nijar National Park with fantastic coastline, beaches and cliffs. There are many golf courses nearby, and many more activities available, or just relax and enjoy the sun.

Trip to Mojacar

Myself and my other half visted Mojacar and stayed at this apartment at the end of June 2009. In summary, we would thoroughly recommend the apartment.

It is spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished inside. It is spacious and having two bathrooms was a real bonus. There is everything you could possibly need in the apartment - washing machine, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, books, coolbox for the beach, free view telly (a bonus as Wimbledon was on when we were there!), dvd player and cd player.

The terrace is fantastic - it is huge and there is plenty of room - we spent most of our week sunbathing there. The view of the beach and the sea is beautiful particularly as the sun is going down (with a glass of sangria to top it off!).

In our view the apartment is the best placed in the block as it is nearest to the swimming pool. We literally walked down the stairs and had a dip when we go too hot then back up to the terrace for more sun worshipping. The pool is very quiet and it was, for most of the time, like having our own private pool - I think we saw another couple on 2 of the days but only for an hour or so.

Mojacar itself has something for everyone. There are cheap and cheerful restaurants with authentic spanish food but you can also visit more pricey, flash places and sample other cuisines eg italian, chinese, indian etc. If you are interested in the nightlife, that is varied too - there is something for everyone from bargain karaoke bars to trendy bars filled with the beautiful people which stay open until 4-5 in the morning.

We would also recommend a trip to Mojacar village to experience a more authentic taste of spain. It is only a short drive from the apartement.

All in all we could not fault our trip and would like to thank the owners of the apartment for making our stay so fantastic and for providing us with somewhere that felt like home!

Excellent Holiday

We have just returned from a super holiday in Mojacar.
It was lovely to wake up in the morning open the patio doors on to the terrace and watch the sun come up over the meditteranean. We would have breakfast every morning on the large terrace, the views were wonderful and it was very peaceful.

The apartment was very clean and exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay, very close to the pool but not noisy.

The beach is lovely and not crowded we were surprised to find you can park on it.

The area had a wide choice of bars and restaurants and the old moorish mountain village of Mojacar was charming with its quaint twisty turny roads, really full of character.

Therer were lots of other lovely villages nearby to visit with lots to see and do.

We look forward to returning to Mojacar in the future and would not hesitate to choose this apartment again.

What a fabulous apartment! Very comfortably furnished and well equipped, definitely home from home for us. It is situated on the side of a hill with a superb 180 degree sea view. We spent a lot of our time out on the large terrace soaking up the sun and swimming in the adjacent swimming pool. The sandy beach is located just at the bottom of the hill and is very clean and not at all crowded. Mojacar itself is a 10 minute walk away, where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. I was very impressed with the local supermarket, which sells the biggest red peppers I have ever seen, and has a wonderful fresh fish counter.

A visit to the old moorish village of Mojacar is a must. It's situated on top of a hill and has tiny lanes with quaint little shops, bars and restaurants. The whitewashed buildings are covered in bright flowered bougainvillea and the local people are charming.

We enjoyed our stay in Mojacar immensely, and look forward to a return visit.

The apartment was well equiped, v, comfortable, with books cds, games. a beautiful large terrace for relaxing, dining and entertaining. Great sea views, v quiet, .beautiful clean quiet pool next to apartment( you feel like its your own) Easy access to beach and great mountain walks behind apartment. Loads of great bars and restaurants for all tastes. all ages. This flat was a gem. You felt instantly at home, and the attention to detail in providing everything one reguires for a relaxed holiday was perfect

2008 in Playa Mojacar

We went to Mojacar for the first time with three 17 year old boys. Mojacar Playa offered something for all of us. The teenagers found activities to do during the day, and seemed to have a good time in the evenings being able to party at local bars / clubs without us havig the worry of an 'Ibiza' type experience. Having said that they still seemed to operate on a different time zone to us (going to bed late gettign up late) but there again they do this at home!

The area wasn't as commercialised as some of the other Costas. We welcomed the very Spanish feel which took myself and husband back to our first visit to Spain in the late 1970's.

Myself and my husband enjoyed drinks and meals at both Majocar Player, Pueblo and surrounding towns - we had a good time in Guarucha, but went to the village in the hills (Majacar Peublo) several times both durig the day and at night time and had a lovely time on each visit.

The apartment was a little out of the way situated at one end of a strip of shops, bars and restraunts, and it was quite elevated so a steep hill needed to be climbed to get out and about on foot. However, it didn't prove a problem for the teenagers and as we hired a car we used to just take the car down to the end of the strip for ease of returning.

The apartment itself was lovely. Very clean and well equiped not just with appliances but also with lots of books, dvd's. cd's ect. Myself and my husband spend a number of quiet hours on the extremely large terrace enjoying a glass of wine whilst overlooking the sea - fantastic.

Not sure if it would suite people looking for an 'Ibiza' experience but we would definitely go back again.
