The Al Andalus Residential complex gives a truly stunning Andalucian style, with beautiful walkways and fountains a feature. The apartment is tastefully furnished and has a Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom having shower and bath and a twin bedroom with single beds and an additional bathroom having a shower and bath. The apartment is very well furnished and fitted with first class equipment, including Air-Con, Sky TV( BBC & ITV ), DVD, Radio/ CD Player, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven and microwave. Al Andalus has a large outdoor swimming pool, children's pool and an indoor heated pool for all year round swimming. Also on site is a children’s play area and tennis court and a resident caretaker. Each apartment has its own allocated parking space. The complex is less than 5 minutes from 7 km of beautiful blue flag beaches and located within 10 to 30 minutes of 5 golf courses. Also close by is a supermarket, restaurant/bar and a sports complex with a golf driving range

2 new restaurant/bars are only a couple of minutes walk from the apartment as is a Mercadona supermarket which has fresh fish and meat available daily. A local bus service runs hourly to Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar. The 7 km of beautiful, unspoilt Blue Flag beaches of Vera Playa  are less than 5 mins drive and the area has many fantastic restaurants, especially seafood and steaks.There is also a Water Park within 5 mins drive and go-karting. Almeria airport is 40 mins drive, Murcia 1 hr 15 mins and Alicante 2 hrs.The famous white village of Mojacar is only 10km, which has many fine restaurants and bars.The fishing port of Garrucha is 3 km. which has a new marina and a great choice of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Along the coast you will discover little fishing villages and many fine beaches.This is the area where many of the Spaghetti westerns were filmed and the Hollywood studios are worth a visit.The beautiful city of Granada, and the famous Alhambra palace, is only a 2 hour drive

There are 5 excellent Golf course within 30 mins : Valle del Este is a fantastic 18 hole Championship Golf Course within 10 minutes drive of Al Andalus. Desert Springs, as the name implies, is a fantastic true desert golf course which offers a true test of golf. This is as good as you find in Arizona. Situated 15 mins drive from the apartment. Cortijo Grande is a 9 hole course situated in the mountains behind Mojacar and is a really pretty course. Marina Del Torre is situated opposite the beach at Mojacar Playa and is played on either side of the hillside. Aguilon Golf Club, a magnificent, brand new 7000m course, opened the 1st week in March 2008 and is situated at the bottom of the mountains overlooking the seaside town of San Juan, 30 mins drive from the apartment. Another course is due to ope in San juan very shortly. Golf course discounts can be obtained if required.

Local Markets: Garrucha - Friday morning. Typical Spanish market selling huge varieties of fruits, vegetables etc Vera - Saturday morning - The whole town seem to turn out for this - really vibrant and colourful Mojacar Village - Sunday morning

My boyfriend and I stayed at this apartment with his brother, sister-in-law and their young son in July. It is a beautiful apartment with a lovely terrace area, two bedrooms,one with en-suite and a main bathroom. The kitchen has all pots, pans and appliances which makes it easy to cook meals- if you don't fancy eating out all holiday.

There is a large swimming pool which is near to the apartment, this was great as we could relax by the pool and only had a 30 second walk back to the apartment.There was a variety of people staying at the complex from couples, families and both spanish and british residents. The complex has a nice friendly atmosphere and was very child friendly.

The apartment is only 5 minutes from a nice beach with great traditional spanish beach restaurants up and down the beach front. The weather throughout the summer is nice and hot, if you don't fancy laying in the sun all day there is plenty to see and do, there are several spanish markets which take place in the surrounding areas of Garrucha, Vera and Mojacar which are definately worth a visit, a bull ring which is interesting in Vera and we spent a afternoon exploring Mojacar Pueblo- this is situated in the mountains and is old moorish spanish town. This is a great place to relax, have tapas and explore the streets of the town.

We throughly enjoyed the holiday there was plenty to see and do, lots of lovely places to eat out and plenty of places to explore. We really would recommend this apartment, it was ideally located clean and homely...we will definatley be booking to go back next year as there are still plenty of things we would like to see and do. It was a great holiday.

Our stay was fantastic in an excellent well equipped apartment exactly as described. The Pool, garden area and tennis courts are very well maintained.
We were made very welcome by Carol the owners representative. There is an information folder in the apartment giving you local places to eat and visit which we found extremely helpful (even had a go at horse riding) and the golf courses are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Family holiday in Mojacar/Vera

Spent 2 weeks on a family holiday for 4 to Mojacar area. The appartment was excellent, clean and nicely furnished and had everything you could wish for, a home from home. A lovely modern complex, easy to find and well situated for Mojacar Playa and Village, just a short car drive away.
We particularly enjoyed a visit to Mini Holywood which is a must and also the Zoo there.
There is a large very well equipped supermarked within a short stroll of the appartment. Eating out, there are lots of excellent restaurants just a short drive away. We would highly recommend the appartment and will definitely be returning in the future to this lovely unspoiled area of Costa Almeria. We much prefer it to the hustle and bustle of the busier Costa del Sol resorts.
