The local area: There are some beautiful towns in the area. The neighbouring town of Garrucha is a fishing town with yacht marina and palm tree lined promenade. Mojacar pueblo is a typically Moorish whitewashed village set in the hills above the beach resort. There is a myriad of choice of restaurants in these and other local villages. Within 5 minutes walk of the apartment are three 4* hotels where you will be welcome to enjoy their entertainment. Internet access is available here also. There are three Natural Parks in the Province of Almeria. Additionally there is also the only desert in Europe where there is a mini Hollywood which has been the location for many Western movies. On a visit here you can see Wild West shootouts, public hangings and bank robberies.

Climate: This part of Spain offers the best climate in the country. With more than 5,000 hours of sunshine per year, the average daily temperature is in excess of 20 degrees.

Airports and local transport: The nearest airport is Almeria, about a 45 minute drive away. It is accessible from most of the UK by low cost airlines such as Monarch, Ryanair, Easyjet, Mytravellite. Package holiday airlines also fly to Almeria. Other airports with reasonable access are Murcia (approx 1.5 hours) and Alicante (approx 2 hours). Travel from the apartment is provided with a good network of local bus services accessible within a 5 minute walk.

Golf: The apartment is built between the two halves of Marina Golf Club, Mojacar. This is a par 72, 5566 yard course. There are three other very attractive courses within a 20 minute drive. Desert Springs a par 72, 6231 yard course. Valle del Este is a par 71, 5827 yard course. Cortijo Grande is a 9 hole course of par 70, 5794 yards. All yardages above are from the yellow tees.
