Mojacar Playa is in the province of Almeria in SE Spain and has the sunniest and driest climate in Europe. The area has a great variety of landscape and facilities yet is one of the few places on the Med where you can find safe deserted beaches and countryside. The apartment is situated between Mojacar, a white hill-top town and Garrucha, a small fishing port and is located on the Marina de la Torre Golf Course only a few minutes walk from the golf club and to the beach. Some local 4* hotels have accessible facilities for bars and free entertainment and the locale has plenty of restaurants within easy reach. The local Parque Commercial Shopping Centre is only a short drive away. Mojacar is an unspoilt resort with no high rise developments and safe European blue flag beaches. Great for families. Along the beach you will find the most delightful beach bars. The resort is overlooked to the rear by the Sierra Cabrerra mountains which form a dramatic backdrop to the coastline.
It is an ideal area for golf, sea, walking. The apartment is situated on the Marina de la Torre Golf Course. Within 20-30 minute drive is Valle del Este with its great views, Desert Springs with its desert landscape and Cortijo Grande where the fairways are lined with lemon and orange trees. Possibilities for walkers, birdwatchers and botanists are endless particularly in the Cabo de Gata. For those who enjoy water sports there are rocky coves with crystal clear water and snorkeling and scuba diving are easily accessible. A highlight for children is the local water park. For those who enjoyed 'The Magnificent Seven' there is the chance to visit the film sets and watch a re-enactment. The best of these, Oasys, has a film and transport museum and a superb nature reserve. There is also the opportunity to visit some amazing caves at nearby Sorbas. There are also plenty of opportunities to visit local towns, shops and markets and eat 'al fresco' in many of the beautiful restaurant
Travel to the area and apartment is easy, with frequent low-cost flights to Almeria or Murcia, cheap car-hire or buses from airport to Mojacar (40 mins). Roads are good, and traffic generally light.
The location and apartment are great for a wide variety of holiday-makers - those who want activity, touring, away from-it-all vacations or interesting family breaks.
