Around and About:
Garrucha is a lovely Spanish village where the fishing boats still go out daily and return each evening with their catch, which is sold to the local restaurants. Here you will find an excellent variety of bars and restaurants
and a good selection of shops. Market day is Friday. Frequently in the summer evenings, along by the seafront can be found numerous craft stalls. There are frequent fiestas held in Garrucha and the neighbouring villages, where dancing and fantastic fireworks are amongst the entertainment. The beach stretches for miles with lovely golden sand, with a naturist beach 5 minutes drive away at Vera Playa. The village of Garrucha is an excellent place to practice your grasp of Spanish, but if your not so hot in this area with sign language and expressions you will make yourself understood.
