You will enjoy a stay in our beautiful, tidy 2 bedroom townhouse (with Air Conditioning) in the lovely fishing village of Garrucha, with it's working port and blue flag beach in town. The Sierra Cabrera mountains provide a stunning backdrop with the warm Mediterranean sea in the foreground. The house is close to the villages of Mojacar, Vera, Carboneras and have supermarkets, restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. There is a Water Park for the kids (of all ages!!) within a 5 minute drive.

Garrucha is situated just 7 miles from the picturesque pueblo of Mojacar in what is arguably the sunniest part of Spain. The area has many beautiful and as yet un-spoiled beaches. There are markets in nearby villages on most days. For a days excursion Garrucha is close to Granada (Alhambra palace) and for the movie buffs take a trip to Mini-Hollywood where Sergio Leone made many Spaghetti Westerns as well such films as Lawrence of Arabia, Back to the Future 2 and many more.

The Houses: The house is very neat and tidy 2 bedroom townhouse with marble floors throughout and with sets of patio furniture on the ground floor terrace to enjoy cool evening drinks or, of course, meals. The house is Air Conditioned. Downstairs is open plan with a kitchenette separated from the dining area by a counter, capable of seating 4. The kitchenette has a 4 ring hob, microwave oven, washing machine and fridge/freezer. All crockery, cutlery pots pans etc are, of course, provided. The dining/living area has dining sitting places for up to 6 and has couches for up to 5. There is also an under stairs WC. The living area also has a T.V. (with English language channel), CD/Radio and DVD Player. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, (1 Double, 1 Twin) and a bathroom complete with WC, shower, bath and bidet. Up the stairs again and you come onto the Roof-top Solarium which has 4 sun loungers (to enjoy the almost endless sunshine in this region of Spain), garden table and chairs and a BBQ

The Beach: Within a 5 minute walk you will find a fantastic unspoilt beach which extends as far as the village of Garrucha. You will always find plenty of room on the beach for games or simply to lie out and enjoy the sun and the Mediterranean sea. There is a lovely Chirinquito to provide, loungers, sun-umbrellas, snacks and above all, cool drinks.

Fuentemar and Surroundings: The Fuentemar complex is a very pretty collection of houses, all privately owned and with very well maintained gardens and pools on the outskirts Garrucha. The houses are strikingly whitewashed outside and tastefully decorated inside. Garrucha is a quaint fishing village where you can see the boats leave in the morning and return in the late evening They then auction off their catch so that the many restaurants on the sea-front can provide beautifully prepared fresh sea-food. Close by you have the historical and Moorish villages of: Mojacar (7kms), reported birth place of Walt Disney, with its cobbled streets and whitewashed houses built almost impossibly on the top of a mountain. Vera (5kms) with it's historical architecture, narrow streets and it's relaxed, no rush atmosphere. Sorbas (12kms) - a beautiful relaxed village set in the midst of an impressive landscape with it's gorges and mountains worn by time out of the earth.
