Casa Margarita Maria is a completely renovated, unique air-conditioned villa with a private swimming pool situated by the side of a 9 hole golf course. It has fantastic views to all sides yet is completely private with no other property overlooking it. The surrounding valley has orange and lemon trees, and the Sierra Cabrera mountains make a marvellous backdrop to the setting. The local area has several bar/restaurants, golf, tennis, bowls and all the attractions of Mojacar and the sea are within 10 minute drive.

Cortijo Grande is a one of the few areas of Spain that remains underdeveloped. The original farm's citrus groves blend in around the golf course and the surrounding mountains make a marvelous backdrop. Yet the local town of Mojacar and beaches are only a short car ride away with all the conveniences of modern Spain.

Notes: All the accommodation in the villa is on one level with a large car park. The garden has orange, lemon, lime, peach and olive trees and at various times of the year the fruits can be enjoyed by the guests. The kitchen has all the normal appliances plus an espresso coffee machine, microwave, juicer, bread-making machine and a sandwich toaster. In addition there are 6 loungers around the pool area and shaded terraces to both sides of the house.

The villa has its own pool to the rear of the house surrounded by garden. From the front the shaded patio and garden overlook the golf course, with fabulous views over mountains and the valley towards the sea, equipped to be home from home, with three bedrooms, all with air-conditioning / heating units, two bathrooms(one en-suite) and one shower room, lounge and dining room complete with air-conditioning / heating unit and wood burning stove for cool winter evenings. A fully fitted kitchen. The house has shaded terraces to the front and rear. Tranquil, secluded but not remote, Cortijo Grande is a valley complete with citrus groves in the Sierra Carbrera mountains. The seaside town of Mojacar is just a few minutes drive away where all the modern beach holiday facilities are available, allowing the visitor to enjoy both the relaxing air of the country and the vibrancy of the seaside. A car is essential.

A wonderful hide away, but not remote

The villa was beautiful, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The only downfall was that there was no air conditioning in the lounge, which got very hot in the afternoon, although we did go for the last 2 weeks of July. The pool was wonderful, with a seat set at the shallow end. I would recommend this to couples who want a very peaceful, away from it all holiday. We have been coming to this are for 15 years and this is one of the best villas we have stayed in.
Owner's Response: A very kind comment, we try very hard to offer a true home from home.
We have not fitted aircon. in the lounge as most of the year we don't find it necessary, but in view of these comments we are reviewing the situation this year.

Excellent villa. We came with two young children and an elderly mother and it was great for all of us. We loved the location and the pool was a perfect size for the children. The property was everything it had been advertised as and the owners were very pleasant and accomodating. Highly recommended.
