A beautiful 5 bedroom refurbished villa in a truly Spanish rural location but not remote. 5 min drive to the nearest town. The swimming pool area is totally private and the swimming pool is 10 x 5m with plenty of sun loungers. There is a Barbecue and the dining area overlooks the swimming pool. A shaded 'Moroccan' sitting area is ideal for total relaxation. The views from the large front terrace are of breathtaking mountains and it's own olive grove. The nearby Rambla is great for children to explore. Numerous bars and restaurants can be found in the surrounding towns, villages and sea fronts. The beach is a scenic 25 minute drive through the mountains and there are many places of interest close by, such as Mojacar, Almeria, Murcia and Granada. All within half an hour away are Golf courses, tennis, horse riding, go-karting,water park and other water sports. The area is also ideal for cyclists.

The house is 5 min by car from the lovely market town of Huercal Overa in Almeria, which has numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets, banks, shops and a hospital. A 25 minute scenic drive through the mountains takes you to the sandy beach at San Juan de los Terreros. Beachfront restaurants are dotted along the palm tree lined promenade. Amazing coastal drives. Within approx half an hour from the house is the busy port of Aguilas(with shops, a square, cafe's and restaurants), Garrucha, (for wonderful seafood restaurants), Mojacar (quite busy and atmospheric) and Mojacar Pueblo (the old town with whitewashed houses in the mountainside), fantastic restaurants and quaint gift shops. Granada (Alhambra Palace) is approx 2 hours away and Almeria (Alcazaba-10th Century Moorish castle) and Murcia, both about 1 hour away are well worth a visit. Sorbas caves and the mini Hollywood theme park near Tabernas where they filmed 'The good, the bad and the ugly'. Also, the Water Park at Vera.

Notes: Ground floor; entrance hall, 3 bedrooms,2 bathrooms, toilet, lounge with 2 leather sofa's, coffee tables, TV and open fireplace. (Bedrooms 4&5 are upstairs). Modern fitted kitchen with large fridge/freezer. All crockery, cutlery, glasses etc are supplied. Utility room has a sink and washing machine. Outside, the large pool area and courtyard are not overlooked. The dining area has a large table and seating for 11, it looks onto the swimming pool and is in the shade. A barbecue is provided. The swimming pool is 10 x 5mtrs and gets the sun all day with plenty of Sun loungers. There is also a 'Moroccan' area with comfy sofa which is in the shade all day, ideal for siestas. A traditional 'party room' is within the courtyard with an open fireplace which can be used as a dining room during winter or a games room in summer. At the front of the house is a large terrace with a stone table and seating, small garden and parking area. The terrace has beautiful views of the surrounding mountain

Golf: There are numerous golf courses in the surrounding areas. At least 2 or 3 within half an hours drive. One has a Spa attached so the ladies can pamper themselves whilst the men play golf. Details upon request.

Skiing: Skiing is available in the Sierra Nevada about 2 and a half hours drive away.

Travel: The house is approximately 1hr 40 from Alicante Airport, 1hr from Murcia on the new toll road and 1hour from Almeria. Jet2, Ryan Air, Easy jet, BMIbaby, Flybe and Thomson all fly to one or more of these destinations from the major UK airports. The house is easily accessible via the E15 / N7 motorway.

Lovely well equiped villa with brilliant pool.

We stayed in this villa for 2 weeks in August. The owners had kindly let us take 12 people even though it was only advertised for 11. As several of our party were children this was fine for us. The villa was very well equiped with cooking utensils and crockery, everything we needed in fact. As the weather was so good we spent most of the time outside and the pool really was great. It was a good size with a deep end deep enough for diving. The children spent hours in it! There were also plenty of loungers for everyone and it was a real plus having pool towels provided.
The outside eating area which overlooked the pool was great, providing some much needed shade during the day with 2 tables big enough for us all to fit around.
There was a table football game, snorkels, masks, flippers and inflatables provided which the children thought was great!
Contact with the owners prior to booking the villa was good, they responded promptly to queries and were very friendly providing clear instructions as to where the villa was. They even booked a hotel room in the nearby town for some of our party who arrived the day before the rental started.
The bedrooms were comfortable with solid furniture and nice bedlinen. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was effective and easy to operate. The bedding and towels were all changed on the middle weekend which was good.
The villa is some distance from the town and at this time of year it was too hot to walk or cycle in the day so we did have to use the car to go into the town. We found the bars in the main square were the best and the square was great for the children to run around in while waiting for their food!
The only slight 'moans' we had were the flies which made it difficult to leave any food uncovered and the 'aroma' which occasionally surrounded the villa! However as this is a rural villa these are to be expected.
Overall we had a brilliant 2 weeks the villa is lovely with beautiful views all around and the totally private swimming pool is it's crowning glory! For a peaceful get away from it all relaxing holiday we would certainly recommend it.
