Cortijo El Cura is a luxury 9 bedroom property made up of a 6 bed villa with adjoining 3 bed guest house. The fabulous villa nestles in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera and boasts stunning views of both the Sierra and the picturesque village of Mojacar. The villa is situated an acre of safely fenced grounds with a fully landscaped private garden and pool area to the rear. The delightful free form 100 m2 swimming pool has a safe beach style entry and cascade and is complemented by an additional children’s splash pool with maximum depth of only 80 cm. Within the garden is a well equipped children’s play area with swings, climbing frame and wooden play house. The property enjoys the fabulous country and sea views with total privacy, whilst being conveniently situated only 1km from the village of Turre with its multitude of bars and restaurants. The more extensive facilities of Mojacar Playa are situated only 6km away.

The quiet village of Turre is situated a short distance inland from the beautiful coastline of Mojacar and 7km from the bustling fishing port town of Garrucha with it´s marina and great shopping. The picturesque hillside village of Mojacar Pueblo is 5km away with the Playa a further 1km away. The charming town of Vera with its historic and picturesque buildings is 10km away. The area is stunningly beautiful with the dramatic mountains of the Sierra Cabrera towering over the green valley of the Rio Aguas all the way to the sea. A visit to the scenic village of Cabrera will leave you with breathtaking views. Other nearby villages include Antas, Los Gallardos and Bedar. A day trip to the dramatic caves of Sorbas, The Mini Hollywood theme park & zoo at Tabernas, or the fabulous castle and history centre at Lorca are all within an hours drive & are highly recommended. There is also a large Aquapark giving fun for all the family nearby in Vera.

  • A deposit of 10% of the total cost of your stay is required to secure a booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before departure. Also a security deposit of £600 to be paid prior to arrival.
    Rates are for parties of up to twelve people occupying the main house. An additional 20% on the applicable accommodation rate is payable for the use of the adjoining 3 bedroom bungalow EXCEPT between 23/7/10 and 2/9/10 when it is available free of charge. Please note the bungalow is not available to rent separately.
  • Cot available free of charge. Free linen and towel change at end of each week. Mid stay cleaning not included but available locally at extra charge.

  • The master bedroom has full luxurious en suite facilities and leads out onto a spacious upper terrace as does bedroom 3. Bedroom 4 also has en suite facilities. There is a cot available free of charge and guests should request this when booking for it to be made available but will need to provide their own bedding. All windows to the villa have blackout security shutters and mesh insect blinds. All rooms within the property are serviced by an air conditioning unit and the temperature can be individually controlled in each room. Please note that a 'pre-pay' meter operates on the air conditioning units within the property for which £60 worth of tokens per week will be provided by the owner which is sufficient for sensible use of the system.

Notes: Smoking guests are requested to restrict smoking to the outside terraced areas. The kitchen sink and large American style fridge freezer have safe, filtered drinking water provided free of charge and the fridge also has an ice maker. The large and luxurious jacuzzi is situated outside the kitchen door in the winter garden area and is also provided free of charge. There is secure fencing to the perimeter of the property and access is via an electric gate. There is covered parking for three cars and ample room for more if required. Please note that during the high season (23/7/10 to 2/9/10) the changeover day will be a saturday. Any other periods are flexible.

Mr G - 25/9/07 - We all very much enjoyed our stay at the villa in Turre, it really was fantastic and was all that we had hoped for. We loved the villa and the area, found some great restaurants, bars and golf courses, and generally had a fabulous time.

What can I say ! Beautiful immaculate villa, it was everything we hoped for and more - kids had a great time, lots of things for them to play with in a safe environment. Plenty of room for everyone and a great place for a family holiday or alternatively, a great get away from it all villa. Plenty of things to do in the surrounding area if you can drag yourself away from the villa which I personally found it hard to do !! We ate in most of the time and the supermarket in Turre is a gem, has just as good a selection of things as the bigger ones in Mojacar/Garrucha. Local restaurants offer plenty of choice to eat out - liked Alcatifa down the main street in Turre. Darren (local contact) was very helpful and obliging as is Dave (UK), many thanks . To the owners, thank you for letting us share your home, the pleasure was all ours !!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa and a return visit would be more than welcome !! To anyone thinking about staying here, you won't be disappointed - go for it !!

We have just returned from a stay at this Villa and cannot recommend it highly enough. There were 13 of us and due to the size and layout we never felt on top of each other. The villa was superb, clean and extremely well equipped to feed all of us!. The pool and pool area was spacious, clean with plenty of chairs, loungers to relax. The village of Turre has a couple of bars and restaurants plus a fantastic supermarket to stock up. A 5-10 min drive takes you into Mojacar which has a few more bars and restaurants. The beach is a fine shingle and is free of the rows and rows of sunbeds i.e Benidorm style!! which is a bonus, there are some lovely bars on the beach which serve fantastic paella. Already looking to re-book for 09!
