Large and well furnished apartment close to the beach — Property 53862

2nd time at apartment.......not my last

As my title states this is the 2nd time in a year that I have stayed at this apartment and it is fabulous.

From the outset the service your receive from the owner is extremly professional, with tips and guides letting you know where to go, how to get there, how to get taxi's etc and opinions on places that she (and family) have visited.

When you actually get to the apartment you are met by the managers of the apartment who are English speaking, very friendly, informative, manage a bar/cafe about 7 mins walk from the apartment where you can get THE best breakfast EVER!!!! I am not jesting ;-)

The apartment itself is exactly as descriped in the apartment profile plus more. The rooms are very spacious, large kitchen, living area, bathrooms and a nice sized terrace. Pool out back if you don't want to go to the beach (!!!), very tidy, very clean (and that's saying something as I am a clean freak). Super market right next door, chinese eat as much as you can downstairs.

To your right of the apartment is a 3-5 min walk to pure beach, continue walking that way for another 10 mins and get to the best ice cream restaurant and regular restaurant in Almeria.

To the left of the apartment about 2 - 7 mins walk you come across the habour (pls go on the glass bottom boat tour) more great restaurants serving "just caught" fresh seafood as well as the normal, pasta, paella etc - this is also where the apartment managers cafe/bar is located. 30 seconds from the bar/cafe the promenade turns into a nightlife for the younger residents/holiday makers but it is no-where near the likes of ibiza etc, i.e. they have fun but there is no vomitting ;-)

The apartment managers are always on hand to let you know of the local festivals (there are various), where best to go and eat etc. They also have connections to a local taxi firm who have better rates than a regular taxi firm so worthwhile calling them before you go to arrange pick-up at the airport otherwise taxi's from the airport charge average 10-14EURO more.

Almeria is an excellent place to go and visit and so having a really nice apartment such as this one, with it's security, clean tidy apartment, friendly neighbours, convenient local amenities, local transport, the habour, restaurants and bars etc really helps to make your holiday that much more pleasureable.

I will certainly be going back, hopefully staying at this apartment again...if it's available that is...book early to avoid disappointment

Thank you for your review this is much appreciated. I do find that guests who visit Roquetas love to come back. I think its one of these places where you feel happy and safe to explore with children or without. A lovely Spanish Seaside! Thanks again.
