Adra is an old fishing port dating back to Phoenician times. A beautiful wide promenade has recently been built where concerts are held in the summer. Berja, about 10 minutes drive away, is a quaint old town with narrow streets and an open market The summers in these Andalucian towns and villages ring with the sound of bands and parades during the fiestas and are lit up with banners and fireworks - a truly andalucian experience.
Adra is a typical Spanish fishing port, 20 minutes drive away, dating back to Phoenician times. The beach stretches for miles and offers plenty of opportunities for secluded swimming. The Alpujarra is fine country for walking, bird watching, mountain biking, horse riding and exploring the white-washed villages with narrow cobbled streets, clinging to the hillsides, relics of a Moorish past
