Situation

Discover the real Spain away from the bussle of the coast. Casa Margarita is a two bedroomed house, with air-conditioning in the summer and a log fire for cozy winters, situated on a farm in the Alpujarra mountains of Andalucia. It has shaded terraces and patios by a private pool with beautiful views of the hills. The house has been completely modernised and decorated and is fully equipped for couples and families.

It's ideally suited to people who enjoy the countryside away from the all night discos of the costas. The nightlife may be sampled in the nearby towns of El Ejido, Almerimar and Adra. Almerimar also boasts fine golf courses, fishing, scuba diving, sailing windsurfing, a modern marina with bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a 'tapa' and watch the world go by. Adra is an old fishing port dating back to Phoenician times. A beautiful wide promenade has recently been built where concerts are held in the summer. Berja, about 10 minutes drive away, is a quaint old town with narrow streets and an open market The summers in these Andalucian towns and villages ring with the sound of bands and parades during the fiestas and are lit up with banners and fireworks - a truly andalucian experience.

Adra is a typical Spanish fishing port, 20 minutes drive away, dating back to Phoenician times. The beach stretches for miles and offers plenty of opportunities for secluded swimming. The Alpujarra is fine country for walking, bird watching, mountain biking, horse riding and exploring the white-washed villages with narrow cobbled streets, clinging to the hillsides, relics of a Moorish past
