Cortijo Linda is charming and has been renovated to the highest standard with all the original features like the fireplaces, archways and beamed ceilings still remaining. The house is fully furnished and there is every modern amenity to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The thick walls help keep the house cool in the hot summer months.Outside there is a 9 x 4 metre swimming pool with Roman steps. Of course you can relax in the sun on the terraces but in the garden there are also shaded areas provided. There is garden furniture, a fully netted gazebo with table and chairs which seats four people and a fridge for your drinks. It is in a quiet location yet only 8kms away from the town of Albox where you can buy your everyday needs. There are pleny of bars and restaurants in the town of Albox and in the surrounding villages. The Saliente Monastery with its most outstanding viiews is just a short drive away from Cortijo Linda and the architecture is wonderful.

Interesting places to visit

There are a number of good beaches within driving distance from my house including Garucha, Mojacar, Vera and Aqua Amarga and the Cabo de Gato is also worthy of a day trip. All the resorts have a charm of their own and they are well known for their long stretches of golden sandy beaches. For the golf lovers there are 4 golf courses all within 40 minutes drive and Cortijo Grande is popular amongst the local residents. Granada is 2 and a quarter hours drive away and you must go to the Alhambra palace although it should be booked on the internet first as it gets really busy throughout the whole of the year. There are many white Andalucian villages as you drive further inland and the Spanish fiestas go on throughout the whole of the year. The wonderful pottery town of Nijar is a very well known tourist spot and from there you can visit Carboneras and Aqua Amarga. The children will love Mini-Hollywood at Tabernas and it will keep them occupied all day with the shows and the zoo.

Lake Negratin

Just north of Baza brings you to the wonderful lake Negratin and is perfect for swimming, boating and fishing. There are several restaurants around the lake which are all reasonably priced and the standard of meals is good. The lake looks a turquoise colour in the summer months when the sun is shining directly on the water and there is a sandy area for sunbathing and a shallow area for the children. It is a perfect day out and is especially for you if you do not like the over crowded hectic beaches.
