Golf Information::
The Desert Springs Golf Course is the first Arizona style desert golf course in Europe. The course has been built to the full USGA specifications. This course is suitable for both the beginner and the experienced golfer as fairways have been kept generously wide but the springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rocks, thousands of cacti and numerous bunkers will test the skills of the low handicapper. The 18-hole Indiana course opened in 2001 and was designed by Peter McEvoy.
Practice facilities are fantastic and special rate discounts are often available throughout the summer months.
There are many other golf courses in the area, one being the Valle Del Este Golf Course which is a real challenge. Other courses include San Juan, Cortijo Grande, La Envia, Marina Golf and Almerimar, all within a short drive away, you will find information in the villa about these courses along with directions, telephone numbers etc.

You do not need to be a golfer to enjoy a holiday at Desert Springs. On the resort you will find tennis courts, a well equipped gym, a volley ball court and a kids indoor play area including giant drafts and chess, a pool table, and fun video games. There are two restaurants on site, both just a short walk away from the villa. One is the luxurious club house where you can have lunch or dinner and enjoy the beautiful panaromic views over the golf course. The other is the Crocodile Club where you can get anything from burgers and fries to fresh fish of the day or steak, there is something for everyone. You can even order takeaway pizzas if you just fancy a night in with a bottle of wine. You could always just relax by their pool with contra current and mister as well as jacuzzi and children's splash pool and sand pit and have a cocktail while the kids enjoy themselves. There is also an on site shop where you can pick up a few essentials.
Airports::
Almeria airport is the closest only being around a 45 minute drive away, Murcia is approximately 1 hour 15 mins down the new toll road and Alicante is approximately 1 hr 45 mins, all being within easy reach of Desert Springs.
