This beautiful cottage style villa is situated on the prestigious Desert Springs golf resort and near to the picturesque harbour of Villaricos and the ancient Moorish village of Mojacar on the coast of Almeria. The villa is air conditioned throughout with a very well equipped large kitchen, including washing machine/tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. It is furnished to a high standard with rustic Spanish furniture in every room. The patio doors from the lounge open up onto a patio area brilliant for al fresco dining with modern outdoor furniture and barbecue area. Upstairs is a spacious en-suite bedroom with patio doors leading onto a 35 m2 private solarium with sun loungers which overlooks the communal pool in a beautiful setting surrounded by exotic plants.

  • The main bathroom in the house is on the ground floor. It is half tiled and has rustic spanish and crome fittings. It has a bath and overhead shower and also a separate shower cubicle as well as toilet and bidet. The sink surround is marble. Two twin rooms, both with ample wardrobe space, one with a set of drawers, these bedrooms are both on the ground floor. All have air conditioning units.

Notes:

The 3 bedroom villa sleeps 6 with 2 twin rooms and a double bedroom. The king size bed can be made into two single beds with given notice. All three bedrooms have ample wardrobe and drawer space available. Ceiling fans are throughout downstairs which keeps the temperature inside cool during the day, as well as the air conditioning units throughout. Wooden beams and terracotta floor tiles complement the lounge/dining area which adds to the Spanish rustic charm along with the feature fireplace. The villa is furnished to a high standard with rustic Spanish furniture in every room and cream leather sofas. Bathrooms are half tiled with marble sink surrounds and chrome bathroom fittings. From the two patio areas the views are spectacular looking onto the pool area with views of the golf course and the mountains in the background. The entrance into the cluster of 14 houses has a security gate making it a safe environment for children. Cots and high chairs can be hired with notice.

Golf Information:

The Desert Springs Golf Course is the first Arizona style desert golf course in Europe. The course has been built to the full USGA specifications. This course is suitable for both the beginner and the experienced golfer as fairways have been kept generously wide but the springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rocks, thousands of cacti and numerous bunkers will test the skills of the low handicapper. The 18-hole Indiana course opened in 2001. You can practise at the driving range before going onto the course. There are many other golf courses in the area to choose from, one being the Valle Del Este Golf Course which is a real challenge. Other courses include Cortijo Grande, La Envia, Marina Golf and Almerimar, all within a short drive away, you will find information in the villa about these courses along with directions, telephone numbers etc.

Other information:

You do not need to be a golfer to enjoy a holiday at Desert Springs. On the resort you will find tennis courts, a state of the art aerobic equipped gym, a volley ball court and a kids indoor play area including giant drafts and chess, a pool table and fun video games. There are two restaurants on site, both just a short walk away from the villa. One is the magnificent club house where you can have lunch or dinner and enjoy the beautiful panaromic views over the golf course. The other is the Crocodile Club where you can get anything from burgers and fries to fresh fish of the day or steaks, there is something for everyone. You can even order takeaway pizzas if you just fancy a night in with a bottle of wine. You could always just relax by their new pool with contra current and mister as well as a jacuzzi and children's splash pool and sand pit and have a cocktail while the kids enjoy themselves. There is also an on site shop where you can pick up things like daily fresh bread.

Airports:

Although Almeria airport is the closest to the villa at Desert Springs, it is still only a 1 hr 40 minute drive from Alicante airport and about an hour on the new toll road from Murcia airport. Jet2.com fly to Murcia with effect from September 2005. Many airlines already fly to Almeria.
