This luxury apartment is located in the exclusive and sought after resort of Novo Sancti Petri on the Costa de la Luz, ‘Coast of Light’, located 30 minutes from the nearest airport, Jerez. Novo Sancti Petri is an attractive upmarket holiday and golf resort, with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. The area has not suffered from the over-building which spoils other parts of the Spanish coast. You’ll find open pine forests, pleasant walks, spectacular views and cooling summer breezes. The sea at the nearby beach is shallow, warm and safe for bathing. All the beaches have a Blue Flag for cleanliness and hygiene. Watersports are found at the marina in nearby Sancti Petri. Seve Ballesteros designed the 36 hole golf course which is located just behind the apartment. Ryanair are now flying from UK airports to Seville and Jerez.

‘Coast of Light’: When you reach this idyllic setting it is not difficult to see why this beautiful area is called the Coast of Light. The Utopian Costa de la Luz is set against a backdrop of bright blue skies, golden sand dunes and the silvery reflection of the sea. As you move further inland you will be greeted by clean streets with whitewashed walls that reflect the light from the blazing sun and a myriad of scenic places from mountain ranges to vineyards. The majority of this dreamy destination is untouched by new developments and is enriched with Spanish tradition.

‘Beaches in the area’: La Barossa beach with its clean sand stretches 8km along the Atlantic Ocean. It has two sections, one developed and the other natural. La Barossa has been granted the Blue Flag for clean seas of Europe ever since this award was founded. The Sancti Petri beach stretches out some 2km and the marina is situated at its north-eastern point. Water sports are available at this beach.

'Places of Interest': Beautiful, historic Cities of Cadiz, Jerez and Seville are all just a short drive away. Well worth the visit is the superb Aqualand water park on the road from Cadiz to Jerez.

Other Activities: go-karting, whale and dolphin watching

Great Chill out resort.

We have just returned from ten days at the apartment. We loved the resort for a place to chill and is very Spanish which is a bonus in many ways as it keeps it more authentic.

The apartment was very clean, the pool lovely but the best part was the lovely beach. It was hot from about 12 to about 5 pm but you just do as the locals do and go on the beach then unitl later and eat later. We used to walk the beach every morning before breakfast which was great and even took a dip a few times as it got hotter towards 9 am.

As a former Travel Rep and Travel Agent, I was very surprised at the high standard of hotels and the resort is very upmarket with lovely hotels. In terms of facilities for a family, the apartment had great cooking utensils and a George Foreman grill which was ideal with the addition of a microwave. We shopped in the local indoor market which was dead cheap and the food was so fresh and varied. It does help to speak some Spanish but it is not a must. We also had Tapas in the bar next to the market in the Square as the locals do and was so cheap - much cheaper than in the resort.
Best place of interest for us was Cadiz. Very historically interesting and has lots of winding streets with great photo opportunities. Nice bars to have lunch in and designer shops too.

To tell you the truth, I would live in Sancti Petri tomorrow!
Will certainly be going back. Bit quiet for teenagers if they want to boogie but there are bars in the old part of the town.

My little daughter (1year old), my husband and I have spent a very nice week in this property.
You can expect a nice appartment, with nearly anything you can need (even a cot), very clean and in good condition. 4 people sleeps fine.
You have to cross the road and walk like 10 minutes to the beach, is not so close but you avoid taking the car, which is difficult to park in high season. If you go out of season (not july nor august) you can take the car, drive 2km and find parking close to the beach. If you don't have a car you don't have to worry, there's a mall in 2 minutes walk with anything you might need (car rental, supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars). Although I would recommend visiting villages for really excellent food!
There's a nice lady to give you the keys (Fay), she is really helpful with anything you need during your stay. And do not doubt asking Alain whatever you need or want to know prior to your trip.

Beautiful beach

Hi, the apartment was clean and well maintained. We squeezed 5 people in, very cosy. It is a 10 minute walk to an amazing beach, beautiful golden sand and so large that it never appeared crowded. It is without a doubt the best feature of the location and our holiday. Swimming pool was good, but if you have young children, be warned there is no shallow end. All the Spainish children wore arm bands/body floats. Is open from midday until 8 p.m. which is unusual to the English, but the norm in this part of Spain. It is very quiet before midday.

There are bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes of the apartment. Similar prices to home. If you want a good meal (run by American's) there is an Italian restaurant, newly opened in the Commercial Centre. It is on the upper level. There are many other restaurants/bars about a 20 minute walk away.

We had glorious weather every day, but it was August.

If you want a holiday where you can just relax and do very little, it is ideal. We were only there a week. If you want to book trips; whale watching, horse riding, Seville etc there is a little office in the Commercial Centre and the manager speaks fluent English.

You are unlikely to meet any other English people, as this is where the Spanish take their holidays from the cities. We only met one English person, who owned another of the apartments. We enjoyed trying to work out Spanish menus/signs etc. If you have any problems you can always ring Fay, who was very helpful, (she looks after apartment).

If you fly with Ryanair, because they have cut their flights to one a day and you don't depart to the evening, you could find yourselves, as we did, out of your apartment at 10.00 a.m. as the next people renting weren't English. Clearly, this is out of Alan's hands and Fay has to clean the apratment, but it is a bit of an early start for a 20.30hr flight home.
