The temperatures in the Tarifa area are generally several degrees cooler than its neighbour the Costa del Sol and those of inland Spain, making it much more comfortable for exploring the coastline, especially if you are interested in purchasing property. The area still offers a taste of what Spain used to be like and is an ideal place in which to recharge your batteries and appreciate all that is truly Spanish. For kite or wind surfers there is nowhere better to visit. Discover unspoilt Spain overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in a unique setting at the foothills of La Peña. Great Escapes offers the opportunity of exploring the Costa de la Luz whilst enjoying the natural tranquillity of Andalusian countryside, with beaches that host the windsurfing world championships in the summer. There is ample secure parking and the only noise you are likely to hear are the birds and goats in the natural park which surrounds the property. Plenty of secure parking for guests.

Notes to the rental rates

• Refundable breakages deposit required 100€.
  
• The price for the chalet per week sleeping 2 people is 500 euros throughout the year (unless there is a late availability offer). During peak season June-September the minimum booking period is 7 nights. Outside of these dates, minimum stay is 3 nights, subject to availability.
  
• During non peak months November-March, special rental rates apply to weekly rentals subject to availability. Please contact for details.
  In 2008 we shall be offering a special package for people wanting to live and work in Spain, including specialist language classes. Please contact for further details and rates of the package.

RE: Who is Great Escapes for?

Great Escapes specialises in providing a tranquil and stunningly beautiful setting in which to relax. It's ideal for couples on their own or with a baby or small child. The site is not suitable for friends who want to live it up, play loud music and invite acquaintances back to stay as the facilities are only open for the use of guests booked in with Great Escapes. We don't discourage friends who want to come and respect the peace and tranquility of other guests and that of our chalets but we feel it best to be up front with people as holidays are precious to us all and it's important we get it right for the guests who do ose to spend their holiday at Great Escapes.

RE: Chalet uno or chalet dos

Chalet Uno is divided up into bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area whereas chalet dos is completely open plan. Chalet uno is slightly smaller but has a huge open terrace whereas chalet dos offers more space inside and has a slightly smaller outdoor terrace. all the chalets have a BBQ/grill on the terrace. Both chalets offer a double bed plus a single bed, which can be exchanged for a cot if required. We don't encourage 3 adults in one chalet as there is not sufficient room to be comfortable or the privacy required. If there are 3 guests who want to come together we do have a smaller chalet which offers twin bed accommodation with separate wc/shower facilities and is ideal for 1 guest.
