Location:
The penthouse is in a quiet residential area within the village of Alcaidesa at the south end of Costa Del Sol in Spain. A peaceful location only 5 miles east of historic Rock of Gibraltar and within reach of Sotogrande, Estepona, Marbella, Cadiz and Jerez but enjoying all the benefits of being within easy driving distance of Costa del Sol`s shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
The nearest airport is in Gibraltar but for best value from UK airports Malaga is just over an hours drive away along the excellent quality and surprisingly not busy AP7 toll dual carriageway (approx 10 euros). The property is approximately 5 minutes drive from Exit 124. Due to the quiet location a car is advisable. We are located front line on the golf course east of Gibraltar. The only links course in Costa Del Sol. Our property is on the top corner of the building facing the Med. Front line golf, sandy beach, all in the sunshine.
Things to do:
Most people visit Costa del Sol for the great climate - to sunbathe, laze on the beach, stroll among the shops, marinas and quaint old towns, eat in the many and varied restaurants and bars and to play golf. All of this is possible in a visit to Vista Real Attico and much more.
Sunbathe on the penthouse`s large terrace, laze on the EH Blue Flag rated long sandy beach, stroll round the fabulous marinas at Sotogrande and Puerto Duquesa, explore the narrow streets of La Linea de la Conception and Marbella Old Town, enjoy traditional tapas or delicious sandwiches for lunch and if you have the energy play golf, paddle tennis, swim, walk, go whale and dolphin spotting or bird watching in the Gibraltar Straits. Gibraltar itself is a must visit, and why not have a day trip to Africa. Visit the Campo de Gibraltar Nature Park or have fun in Selwo Nature & Safari Park near Estepona (20 Mins) and Bahia Aqua Park in Algeciras (25 mins). Don`t forget the watersports all down the coast !
Golf:
Costa del Sol or Costa del Golf?! Visit some of the world`s best golf courses in some of the world`s best golfing weather. Alcaidesa Links Golf Course is an 18 hole par 72 course. Watch the golfers playing the 9th hole directly below the apartment and plan your shots before you play! Between the 9th hole and the beach are the greens for the 7th, 8th and 12th holes as well as the water hazards. Love golf ? - watch it all day! - without leaving the apartment. There is also a second 18 hole golf course in Alcaidesa, as well as a magnificent club house and driving range, all completed in 2007. Alcaidesa is also a perfect base for the approx 40 other golf courses between Malaga and Gibraltar. San Roque Golf Course is a few minutes drive away as is Valderrama Golf Club which is arguably the best golf course in Europe with lush tree lined fairways and immaculate elevated greens and host to 1997 Ryder Cup and the Volvo Masters but with limited access for visitors.
