Vejer de la Frontera holiday house

This charming cottage lives up to its billing as a well renovated and decorated place in the old part of the village. The Plaza is just 50 metres or so away, with a congenial host in the tapas bar across the road from a fine restaurant. The local agent for the UK based owners is courteous and helpful. English language newspapers are available in the Plaza.

Set high on a hill, the cottage has commanding views. It is a pleasure to see the light change while having breakfast or dinner.

The courtyard accessed from the cobbled street not only provides opportunities for alfresco dining, it also provides a quiet environment in the cottage.

The narrow cobbled street is a delight to see and experience. It does mean that luggage has to be carried from the car park some fifty metres down the hill.

The village provides a mix of the very old with modern amenities. The internet cafe and supermarket make life easy. It is appealing to wander through buildings several hundred years old on the way.

The surrounding countryside and the coast make for visually interesting excursions in easily accessed locations.. Long walks are availabe in nearby National Parks.

. Vejer de la Frontera ist eines der schoensten weissen Doerfer an der Costa de la Luz. Mit seinen engen Gassen, romantischen Plätzen und stimmungsvollen Restaurants laedt es zum Verweilen ein. Es eignet sich aber auch gleichermassen ausgezeichnet als Asgangspunkt für die Erkundung Andalusiens per Bus (!) oder Pkw.
...Und La Fuga... Das liebevoll restaurierte und zugleich zweckmaessig sehr gut ausgestattete Haus, mit Fensterblick bis nach Afrika hat uns gleich in seinen Bann gezogen. Wir waren dort zweimal und kommen wieder!
