This Luxury 4 Bedroom Villa offers the perfect base for your Costa De La Luz Holiday. 'Mandevilla' is a large (150m²) traditional Spanish style villa build to a very high standard (Completed June 2004). The villa is newly furnished and fully equipped in a clean contemporary style. The large (1200m²) walled garden is secluded and secure and landscaped with patio, mimbre pergola, English lawn, lemon and olive trees and climbing plants. You have your own enclosed private 10m x 5m roman style swimming pool with sun shower. 3 minutes drive to the resort of Novo Sancti Petri, the Severiano Ballesteros 36 hole golf course and the beautiful blue flag La Barrosa Beach.

From Tarifa, the most southerly point of Europe, the Costa de la Luz runs like a golden ribbon west wards to Cádiz and beyond to the border with Portugal. The Spanish themselves favour this Atlantic shoreline. The sand is finer and a more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol. The typical beaches here are more spread-out and probably backed by sand dunes and pine trees. This part of the coast has not seen the high-rise hotel development of other areas. The temperatures are slightly milder in the winter, the air is clear and fresh and the colours are brighter and of very special intensity. This is why it is called the 'Coast of the light'. The town of Chiclana has a population of 60,000 people but it still holds onto its village atmosphere. You will find public transport, Medical facilities, good shopping and markets, and an abundance of restaurants and bars. Chiclana a is a high quality tourist destination.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are all inclusive of gas, electricity, cleaning, linen, water rates and pool maintenance. For booking periods of less than 7 days please add a 70 euro charge for villa cleaning. Electricity is included at a rate of 50 units per day and any additional units will be charged at cost (We use about 35 units per day during August).

    A non-refundable deposit of 50% will be required to make a firm villa reservation and the balance paid on or before arrival at the villa. A security deposit of €500 will be held to cover the cost of any damage or breakages during your stay. The deposit will be held by the local letting agent and returned after satisfactory inspection on your day of departure. It is possible to pay the security deposit in sterling to our UK account if preferable.

Everything about this holiday was "spot on" from the organization to the enjoyment of the whole experience!We could not have asked for more from the villa it was exceptional.Our daughter came out for one week,bringing with her our grandchildren aged 4 and 1 and there was plenty for them to play with around the immaculately maintained pool.
We have already recommended this property to friends of ours.
Barrosa beach was wonderful,clean and safe for the children.Along the front there were many bars and restaurants all serving a good variety of local dishes.
The Feria was on whilst we were there which is always worth a trip.We also went to Barbate to see the biggest "dovecote" in Europe and then onto Trafalgar Point.

The good news is a new timber playframe with silde and swings was installed in October ready for the 2009 season. Thank you for looking after our villa so well.

Fantastic villa in real Spain

A very nice property with all the facilities needed for a great vacation for families. We loved the villa with its spacious rooms, the great pool and the big garden (you can even play soccer there). The location is good, short distance to one of the best beaches we ever have visited (the La Barossa), and a lot of known attractions within 1.5 hours drive (Cadiz, Jerez, Seville, Tarifa, Gibraltar and many more). A visit to one of the lovely pueblos blancos (white hilltop villages) is strongly recommended. There are a lot of those nearby (Arcos, Vejer etc). Especially we liked that the area seems very “Spanish” - not dominated by Scandinavians, British or German tourists. Here we had to try our School-Spanish to get by.

Fantastic villa with wonderful garden and pool

We spent a fantastic week in Mandevilla. The house is very well equipped, everything is very clean an in excellent condition. The garden is great with a wonderful pool. We very much enjoyed our stay. We made very interesting trips to Ronda, Cadiz, Medina Sidonia, Vejer de la Frontera and Gibraltar. I highly recommend to visit the archeological excavation of the Roman city Baelo Claudia near Bolonia.
We thank you very much for having given us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful house and we really intend to come back soon. Thanks to Angela for the warm welcome and the good service. Vielen Dank, meine Frau, meine 3 Söhne und ich haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Ich denke, es war das schönste Ferienhaus, das wir je gemietet haben. Wir sind einfach begeistert.

A great break

My husband and I booked two weeks at the Villa Mandevilla at the end of September 08, hoping for a little sun before the dreary British winter set in, and we weren't disappointed, even at this late stage in the year the temperature was well into the 30's for most of the holiday.
The accommodation more than lived up to the description on the website and we were very pleased with the clean and well maintained villa, with the large swimming pool (a welcome break from the heat!). The place would be ideal for a large family or even a group of friends as it can easily accommodate many.
There is lots to do in the area, especially if you like watersports, Tarifa is the place to go for this as well as for whale watching and its not much further to Gibraltar. Medina Sidonia was a charming place to go and has a fantastic 360 degree view from the top!
The owners agents were at hand if we needed them, they were very helpful and also offered useful advice about the local area.
To stay at the villa you will definitely need a car as it is located in a quiet residential area but not far from the local attractions such as the Novo Sancti Petri golf course, La Barrosa beach which is lovely and clean, and at this time of year pretty deserted! It is centrally situated and ideal for sightseeing everything that the region has to offer.
The only thing that we found inconvenient at the villa was that we weren't able to walk to a restaurant in the evening for dinner, but again, this was saved by the barbeque at the villa which we used almost every evening and it possibly saved us a bit of cash too!
I would, and, have recommended this villa to friends and family for its layout, facilities and peace and quiet.

Owner's Response: I agree that the villa is more of a family venue. For couples it can be frustrating having to drive to a restaurant especially if you both like a drink! The BBQ can be used to produce some great meals without breaking the budget. The seafood and wine in the supermarkets is such good value...

Lovely Villa

A very spacious well equiped villa with large secluded garden in a quiet location near to beach and amenities. The pool is big, beautiful and perfectly clean. The luxury title is well deserved. Andrew & Emma the villa owners and Angie the Management Agent are very pleasant to deal with. I will definately be returning.
