Chiclana de la Frontera holiday villa: Las Veguetas

An excellent retreat for peace and quiet, we loved our week at the villa. Margaret the owner, was extremely helpful beforehand and Suzanne & George were always on hand if we needed them in Spain.

The villa is very comfortable and clean and the gardens and pool are lovely. The lovely Barossa Beach isn't far at all, but we definitely needed a car a car to get around.

Nothing was better though than lazing by the pool in the warm evenings with a barbecue a a good bottle of wine. Lovely!

We have just returned yet once again from this villa in Spain, on a two week holiday. This time our son and his wife came for a week. They found the villa to be everything that we had told them it would be and more they said. It was beautiful, and was equiped with everything that you should need. They like us, love the privacy of the villa and the grounds. they found it to be very relaxing like we did too. Our other son and his wife found it the same also last September. They went home relaxed.

What can you say about the villa? Not a lot really, which we had already said about it last year. Our expectations were still reached. It is in secluded grounds and as a beautiful pool, It is so peaceful there.
The villa itself has everything that you could possibly need whilst you are over there. The Supermarkets are quite close and there are one or two of them.
You do need a car really. It is convenient for visiting lots of the historic places. ie: Seville, Cadiz, Medina Sedona, Acros de la Frontera. Gibralta, and many more, all quite close, and easy roads to get there. Note that all these mentioned places are well worth a visit. The Caves up on the rock at Gibralta too. If you do visit there take the mini bus instead of the cable car to the top of the rock. It works out cheaper, you also get entrance fees included in the price into the caves, and into the tunnels. The monkeys are worth seeing too.

The villa is in excellent condition and is clean througout, as are the grounds which are well kept.

There is a welcome pack on arrival which is what you need until you get to the supermarket. We think that the owner provides good customer service.

We would recommend this villa to friends and anyone. it is lovely. Seems like home from home.

We did not try any of the restaurants around Chiclana, but we understand that they are very good and reasonable.
La Barossa Beach is lovely and clean and fantastic for walking.

We like it here so much that we hope to go back again for another visit in 2009.

We would recommend anyone to stay at this property. I am more than sure that no one will be dissapointed.

Very modern, secluded, self-contained villa situated in semi-rural location. Safe for children. All amenities in villa. We have stayed every year since it became available (different months of the year) and the weather is always pleasant.
Great location for exploring this unspoilt/uncommercialised area of Spain. As pointed out by the owners, however, a car is necessary. Lots to see in nearby Cadiz, Jerez and Seville (a little further afield).

The villa is very private and in excellent order, the villa is well furnished and the kitchen has all the equipment you will need , Swimming pool is very well looked after as are the gardens. ( better than the photos!)
The beach is a short drive away and is one of the best in Spain.We enjoyed our stay so much we are returning in 2008.
There are plenty of good value supermarkets a short drive away and plenty of choice if you wish to eat out.
