Located away from the town, San Julian has been praised as ' a peaceful green oasis within the hurly burly of the Costa' . -- It is situated near Estepona on the golf course side of the main road (beach 800m over footbridge) and close to the local shops, restaurants, tennis courts, horse riding and golf courses. Patio doors open on to a private garden then you slip through the gate in to a huge garden area with a lovely pool for relaxing days in the sun. The roof terrace has loungers where you can look out over the sea or mountains in the background. The complex itself is mainly owner occupied all year round and is a quiet, family oriented place. --- There is a frequent local bus service to Estepona, San Pedro, Marbella and beyond. ---- Real Spain is nearby, you can escape into the Andalucia countryside by driving 15 minutes into the mountains. Marbella and Puerto Banus are 10 minutes away, or you can venture further afield to Gibraltar, Seville, Cordoba, Granada or even Morocco

An easy drive along the motorway from Malaga Airport towards Gibraltar close to Marbella. This townhouse is situated between San Pedro and Estepona on the golf course side of the main road. The beach is 500m away. Handy restaurants include Spanish, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Japanese and Italian. You can watch Sky Sports with UK football in a local bar. Close to local shops, tennis courts Selwo Adventure Park and Zoo . Play golf at El Paraiso and other Golf Courses, Bowls at Benavista and water sports nearby.. Designer boutiques in Marbella include Gucci and Cartier. The morning market 'rastros' are held in Estepona Port at the weekend and different villages each weekday. El Corte Ingles, the Costa´s answer to Selfridges, is only 7km away in the millionaire´s yacht marina of Puerto Banus where there's great nightlife too. Gibraltar is a tax free shopping paradise. Notes:

We moved to this house 5 years ago because we love its traffic-free location and facilities after owning a nearby apartment for 15 years. This is a comfortable house furnished as a second home, with good quality furniture and fittings. its just right whether you favour indoor or out door life. There's lots of room to lounge or dine indoors but go though the patio doors and you can eat in the back garden and then through the back garden gate enjoy the fantastic gardens and crystal clear pool. Its a safe haven for children.

Golf and Horseriding

There are many excellent golf courses within easy reach, practically all offer club and buggy hire and facilities are available locally to book tee times at most of the major golf clubs. El Paraiso is only 2 km away. Guadalmina (5km) has two 18 hole courses and a 9 hole pitch and putt; both Old and New Atalaya are 4km towards Marbella, and Los Flamingos, Montemayor and many others are a short drive away. For less serious players ‘Coto de la Serena’, a 9-hole course, is 3km away. Here clubs may be hired and there is no requirement to pre book tee times. Horseriding: Just 3km away there is is one of the best equestrian centres in Spain with teaching at all levels, Pony Club and horseback rides along the paths of Sierra Bermeja; ideal for the nature lover.

Specially for children

Selwo Adventure Park is only 4km away - the lions, tigers, monkeys, birds and face painting are favourites. There are pedallos on the beach (Summer only), the zoo in Fuengirola, the Aquapark in Torremolinos, the Crocodile Park, Selwo Marine in Benalmadena with dolphin, sea lion and penguin shows. They all love the monkeys in Gibraltar too!

Estuvimos encantados, excelentes vecinos, bien situada, excelentes jardines y piscina, cercano supermercado y restaurantes, si es posible repetiremos otro año.
Solo cambiaria los sofas, por lo demas excelente.
Altamente recomendable.

English translation - We were delighted, excellent neighbourhood, well situated, excellent gardens and pool, Supermarket and restaurants nearby and we hope to go again another year. Only we would change the sofas - everything else excellent. Highly recommended. (Note Sofas are not intended for overnight sleeping but will be replaced for 2009)
