Casa Esperanza is about 2 miles from the centre of Malaga where you can find restaurants, bars, museums, Picasso’s home and Museum, parks - there are also good restaurants and tapa bars within walking distance, the fish restaurants on Pedregalejo and El Palo beaches are among the best on the Costa del Sol. El Morlaco park is a 5 minute walk from the house. Cerrado de Calderon is an urbanisation just behind the house and offers: banks, supermarket, shops, public telephone and hairdressers. Special dates: August fair (bullfights, concerts, flamenco, festivals). Easter (processions). Carnival (Feb). Christmas cavalcade on 5th January.

From Málaga there are excellent communications with the rest of Andalucía. Whether you decide to rent a car or to take public transport there is a wide selection of places to visit either on the coast: Rincón de la Victoria, Nerja, Almuñecar, Marbella, Gibraltar.... or inland monumental cities like Córdoba, Granada, Seville, you can even ski at the Sierra Nevada resort not forgetting the charming towns Antequera and Ronda. If you are interested in the wild side of Spain, there are several nature parks near the city of Málaga.
