Rancho del Ingles has much to offer. The original farmhouse is over a century old while the rest of the property has evolved over the last 20 years. The rustic farmhouse is a romantic setting for a couple or small family group while the main house, a few metres away is spacious, rustic yet grand, can accommodate 6 or 8. There is also a pool house with two futon beds, shower and w/c, and two annexes, each with twin beds and ensuite shower/wc. The property is secluded but not isolated with many terraces and separate areas. Within the spacious grounds orange, lemon and avocado groves, woods, a stream and mature shrubs give a wonderful sense of well-being. Teenagers enjoy chilling in the pool house so you don't need to drive them to clubs on the coast and the pool (with shallow end) is raised making it safer for toddlers. People of all ages love the space and freedom so much they often prefer to stay put than go exploring. Please email to receive a plan of the property.

This farmhouse was built in 1859 and has thick walls and rustic charm. It is built in typical Andalucian style with the bedroom unit, lounge and kitchen opening separately onto a shaded patio of jasmine and other fragrant flowers. The twin bedded room and double bedroom share a shower room/wc. There is a sofa bed in the lounge, any visitors would have to share the shower facilities with those in the bedrooms or the pool house. There is a sunny terrace with a barbecue and the pool is just a few steps away from the bedroom door. Perfect for a refreshing early morning swim or a cooling midnight swim in the summer. Two charming annexe rooms and a poolroom provide extra sleeping accommodation. Each of these rooms has twin beds and their own shower room w/c. Rental per annexe room is £75/£160/£200/£375 in low/mid/high/peak season.

Fifteen minutes from Malaga airport, but not on the flightpath, Rancho del Ingles nestles peacefully in the foothills, just outside the small, busy town of Alhaurin de la Torre. It's well situated for driving to the coast and inland destinations such as Granada, with its magnificent Alhambra and gardens; the old hillside village of Mijas, famous for its spectacular views of the coast; Ronda with its medieval bridge spanning a 500 ft gorge and much more. Seville can be reached within two hours by car or train. The local town is about 20 mins walk, or a few mins drive and provides bars, restaurants (which welcome small children) and cafes; tennis; open market and shopping. Malaga, often overlooked, is close and has much to offer including: the new Picasso museum, the cathedral and the Alcazaba. Aquapark, a water amusement park; Seaworld, Crocodile Park and Plaza Mayor with cafes, shops and cinema showing English films, and an 18 hole golf course are all within short driving distance.

  • These rental rates are on the basis of up to four people. Please enquire for additional people. In addition to the farmhouse, the main house or one or two annexes or pool house can be rented.
    Sorry the farmhouse is available in August only as additional accommodation to The Main House. It cannot be booked alone in August.
  • Two charming annexes rooms and a poolroom provide extra sleeping accommodation. Each of these rooms has twin beds and their own shower room w/c, sleeping up to six additional people.
    Rental per room is £235 in low season, £285 in mid season; £335 in high season and £500 in peak season.
  • Long weekends and short breaks are available out of high season, priced pro rata. Bed and breakfast also available. Please email for rates and availability.

Rancho del Ingles - The whole property: Rancho del Ingles offers very flexible accommodation from bed and breakfast for a couple for a weekend, through to a party of 20 for the whole summer. But we realise that this might also be rather confusing. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be delighted to talk through your requirements and clarify details given here.

Activities: According to your interests and requirements we should be very pleased to discuss activities available. We run occasional Painting and Drawing Holidays, and Yoga Holidays. Also there are many sightseeing visits and activities we can suggest but some might be more than 15 minutes drive away.

Golf: Alhaurin de la Torre boasts its own 18 hole course at Lauro Golf which is about a ten minute drive, while ten minutes further on there is the 18 hole, Alhaurin Golf. There are about thirty other courses on the 50 mile stretch of the coast, or Costa del Golf as it is often known. The fine weather makes golf popular with many all year round. We welcome golf parties and will gladly arrange on bed and breakfast basis if required.

Can't wait to go back! S.C ... Rancho del Ingles is superb … The little ones loved being there … It was indeed a most memorable and happy holiday and I revelled in the congratulations of the family for having found Rancho del Ingles … it proved to be a marvellous choice. L.C ... a fantastic holiday both houses completely exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed the gardens and the pool. It is a great spot for local sightseeing, we managed to get to Seville, Granada, Ronda, Puerto Banus, Marbella and we did have plans to see lots more, but we found we enjoyed the house so much that it was a real struggle trying to motivate ourselves to actually get up and do something. P.H ... Fantastic, you should have talked us into two weeks! R.F ... We particularly liked the fact that (the local town) wasn't touristy . We also enjoyed the restaurants you recommended, especially the pizza place...ventured into the town for a few drinks and a spot of pool to keep the lads happy. P.H

A haven of peace and tranquillity

Although we only stayed our last 2 nights at Rancho del Ingles, it was without doubt the highlight of our 16 day visit travelling in Andalucia. It certainly lived up to the website description.
David and Miyuki add a personal touch to make their guests feel at home. They are also so helpful with their recommendations of where to eat, where to shop and places to visit. Also the information they sent with our booking made it easy to find.
We loved the gardens and the quirky antique furniture, where each piece has a history. David too time to explain how he had acquired the furnishings and it was most interesting - a welcome departure from the usually formality of hotels.
Breakfasts were a leisurely, unhurried occasion where we could chat to other guests, who were also enjoying their stay there.
Our room was large, bright and airy with a wonderful raised Punjabi bed which was great fun. There was plenty of closet space available and the ensuite shower room was spotlessly clean and in keeping with the decor of the room.
I would definitely stay here again - for longer, the next time!

Great holidays & Superbes vacances

The place is wonderful and paradisiac. The house is very pleasant and comfortable. The children and the adults like the swimming pool. The trees, flowers, plants, fruits... were unvelievable because of their beauty. In Andalousia the weather is always fine. To finish, the welcome of the owner is particularly nice and great.

This farmhouse is lovely, also during fall season

Me and my husband and me had a wonderful week in the smallest unit of the property (2 bedrooms, 4 beds+chouch which is big enough for four people). During this time (in October) the tangerines went ripe. David (our host) encourage us to pick them from the tree, what we of course loved to do. As a souvenier he gave us also Avocados from the garden which we enjoyed than in Munich.
We'd love to come back!
