  • A 10% deposit is required to secure the booking with full payment made 6 weeks before the rental begins. Rental includes a welcome pack, weekly change of bed linen and towels. A refundable deposit of £200 pounds is required on booking to cover breakages and return of the keys, including the garage remote entry control. The local agent lives nearby should you have any problems. Car hire at discount rates from a reputable company can be arranged with pickup/delivery locally or at the airport.

Notes: The Village has Andalusian style within which the apartment is modern, luxurious and provides the highest quality accommodation demanded for contemporary living. The appartment recently built to the highest international standards is on the first floor. It is reached by stairs or the lift which is adjacent to the underground car parking space. The important living area is particularly spacious with separate entrance atrium and additional seating away from the main lounge area including a double sofa bed if needed. Bedrooms have a choice of either two single or one king bed. The lounge and master bed have panoramic double glazed windows opening onto the terrace. There are quality marble floors throughout and the ensuite bathrooms are completely finished in marble. The terrace gives both welcome shade and access to the seemingly ever present Andalusian sun. For comfort there is climate control to cool or warm you and underfloor heating in the bathroom for added comfort in cooler months.

Five Stars: The internationally renowned Five Star Los Monteros Hotel is within minutes. The Village is built on the Monteros Estate with its' own golf course, Rio Real. The apartment is next to the golf practice ground and a short walk to the clubhouse with its' 'boutique' 5 star Hotel Golf Rio Real. Hotel Incasol with its' famous 'medical' spar is within easy walking distance. Facilities at these hotels can be used and paid for locally while staying in the equivalent (or better), but more spacious apartment. Marbella town is within minutes - you can visit the market on a Saturday or dine in the famous Orange Square.There is a very large shopping centre nearby to meet all your needs including designer clothes shops. For more serious shoppers Marbella town rivals the best in Europe. Groceries can be ordered from El Corte Ingles and delivered directly to the apartment.

Spain from Altamira: Puerto Banus is only 10 minutes away where you can join the international style set. There are again many shops and restaurants but within the same short travel time you can be in the mountains. You can travel east along the coast to reach Malaga (30 minutes)and visit the Pablo Picasso Museum or west to Gibraltar and the Barbary Apes. Inland their are lakes and mountains within minutes, skiing in the Sierra Nevada (2 hours), the sights of Grenada - the Alhambra is one of the most visited sites in the world (2hours). Longer trips to Cordoba, Seville and Madrid are within motoring distance.

Golf: It is only a short walk to the spectacular Rio Real Clubhouse, where good food is served all day. You can have delicious snack meals on the terraces or more formal lunch/ dinner in the dining room which is shared by the Rio Real Hotel which is the Costa del Sol's most recent and exclusive 'boutique hotel'. The practice ground is adjacent to the apartment. The central location makes this an ideal place from which to access all the many courses of the Costa del Golf. There is golf for everyone from amateur to those who aspire to greater things. Rio Real is your starting point with several other courses of differing standards within minutes. These include La Quinta, Los Naranjos, Los Flamingos, Marbella Club and the more recent Santa Clara. A little further west is San Roque, home of the European Tour in the winter, Valderama, Almenara and on the same estate Sotogrande. If you cannot get enogh golf during the day try the night time course! Yes floodlight golf golf is available just 10 minutes away.

Spacious, well-appointed apartment, but...

Spacious, well-appointed apartment, but:

The internet access description is misleading. It's a Vodafone Spain sim card attached to a laptop. There was no credit on the sim so we paid Euros 39 at the Vodafone shop in Marbella for a top-up giving 2 weeks data access (mobile internet). The download speed could hardly be described as 'broadband' - it's about 1.5-2Mbps.

You might also want to check that the intermittent vibration noise from the swimming pool pump has been fixed. This pump is housed in the basement car park, but can be heard on the 1st floor where this apartment is located. The noise kept us awake on 3 separate nights during our 2 week stay (July/August 2009).
Owner's Response: It is regretted you had trouble with internet access. This is made available together with a local mobile phone, laptop and photo colour printer (not advertised). The card was topped up and telephone call credit converted to data for you to use as internet access. When you used the telephone it would tell you the credit available for calls only. The local instructions provided now make this clearer. The 3.5 G system uses HSDPA and runs at 3.5 Mbps. Again it is regretted if this was not the case.
The mystery noise you encountered was immediately reported to maintenance and is resolved.
