Activities

This part of the Andalucian Coastline is a beautiful mix of Spanish relaxation and Marbella style. All local facilities are within walking distance of the apartment and the it is a convenient base for all the Costa del Sol has to offer. The apartment is midway between Fuengirola and Peurto Banos in the quiet area of Cabopino and the complex has pools to help you cool down and Tennis Court to work off the extra pounds from the excellent restaurants in the area. The apartment backs onto the 18 holes par 71 Cabopino Golf which is a good Pay and Play course. Horse race meetings are held regularly at the Mijas Hippodromo 7kms away. There is access to the beach at the start of the complex and there is nothing nicer than a short walk on the beach to the restaurants in Cabopino for lunch and a local beer before returning in the afternoon - indeed there is a Chiringito (beach bar/restaurant) at the start of the complex should you not make it to Cabopino.

Food and Entertainment

Eating out in the area is a delight - Restaurants cater for all requirements from local Spanish Paella to Steak and Chips - at a fraction of the cost of other holiday destinations. You can have a very good quality main course for two and a bottle of Vino de Casa and come away with change out of a Euro 20 note. There is a very good restaurant (Miel Y Nata) close to the complex that has both a large selection and is both excellent quality and great value for money. There are more upmarket restaurants where there is no limit to the prices and where you can spend time and money enjoying the beautiful people having fun. The apartment has many guides to the restaurants in the area with prices to let you choose which one suits you.....

Where to Go

There are some great places to visit in Andalucia. Ideally, these should be done by car. Car hire is very cheap in Spain and picking up a car from Malaga airport is an easy way to get to the apartment (it is not far from the main N340 road that goes from the airport to Marbella) and the drive is only around 30 minutes. It is possible to travel around by bus, which is pretty cheap, and stops close to the complex. Taxis are also a relatively cheap alternative. Places to see by car include: Peurto Banus for the yachts, Marbella for the people, Fuengirola for the walks, and Rhonda for the views, although with the beach and facilities on the doorstep of the apartment, one is unlikely to travel far.
