Alicate Playa is situated on the beach-side of the main coastal road (A-7). Away from the over-crowded beaches just 3km from the centre of Marbella/Marbella Old Town and 10 minutes from the famous Puerto Banus and it's lively nightlife. Only 30 minutes from Malaga airport and 1 hour from Gibraltar. The beach is a short stroll from the apartment, via a private gated path, where there is a selection of quality restaurants/bars. The nearest supermarket is only 1km away.

  • A non-returnable deposit of 25% of the total cost will confirm and hold bookings. The balance is payable six weeks prior to arrival and bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival are payable in full. A refundable deposit of £250 / 350 euros is required on confirmation of booking to cover damage, excess cleaning, breakages and return of keys. At certain periods these rate may be negotiable, please contact us for further details.
  • The rental price is fully inclusive of all utility bills and includes unlimited use of the swimming pool and paddle tennis courts. All towels including beach towels are provided.

Notes:

This luxury apartment has been decorated and furnished without any expense spared. With local ivory marble flooring throughout and pre-installed air-conditioning to keep you cool, plus central heating and under floor heating in both bathrooms for the cooler months. The feel of the apartment is very cosy and warm, this has been created through the lighting and beautiful furniture, but also through the original fine art that has been chosen. There are 2 terraces, one of which overlooks the tropical gardens and swimming pool, and is ideal for 'al fresco' dining. With your own direct, private and secure entrance to the beach a short stroll away, this secure gated complex has a truly Mediterranean feel. In addition to the swimming pool (with plenty of sun beds) there are 2 paddle tennis courts and a playground in the complex, all included in the price and available through the concierge service. There is also an underground secure parking space for one car.

Interior Design

A unique blend of old and new has been achieved through the use of modern lighting and furniture combined with original fine art. We hope you agree that the apartment will delight your senses and ensure you a warm, homely and pleasant stay. The master bedroom has a double bed whilst the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds, all complete with fine Egyptian cotton linen. All bathroom towels and beach towels are included. A large dining table with 6 chairs can be found in the dining area, along with an 'al fresco' dining table and chairs on the terrace overlooking the tropical gardens and pool. The kitchen and seperate utility room is fully equipped with everything you need should you wish to cook. For your comfort all rooms are air-conditioned and centrally heated, plus both bathrooms have underfloor heating.

Local Area

There are many 5 star hotels nearby offering their facilities to non-hotel guests, from the luxuriously appointed Los Monteros Hotel and Beach Club to the Hotel Incasol with it's famous 'medical spa'. Up and down the beach you can find plenty of activities from jet skis to catamarans and kayaks to water-skiing. Also a huge selection of quality fish restaurants and bars are on your doorstep, including the new Nikki Beach at the Don Carlos Hotel. Just 5 minutes drive away is Marbella with it's Saturday market and charming Old Town where you can have lunch or dinner in the lively Orange Square, or perhaps just a drink before venturing on to the famous Puerto Banus with it's many boutiques, restaurants and clubs all nestled between the mega-yachts owned by the rich and famous. Nearby is a large shopping mall called La Canada where everything from designer clothes to groceries and fine wines are available. Alternatively, groceries can be ordered and hand delivered by El Cortes Ingles.

Further Afield

As well as the local attractions, it is only a short drive into the mountains where fantastic fresh-water lakes can be found to swim in and ancient Andalucian villages to be explored. Snow skiing and boarding is available in Sierra Nevada (2 hours) along with the beautiful city of Granada (2 hours). The ski season is from December until May each year. Many activity parks are near including Selwo Safari park (30 minutes), home to many wild animals and birds that live in relative freedom. The stunning gorge of Ronda is only 50km away and definitely worth a visit. Further afield Madrid, Seville and Cordoba are all within easy reach. Whether you head east to Malaga to visit the Pablo Picasso museum (30 minutes) or west to Gibraltar (1 hour) for its bargain tax-free shopping and Barbary Apes, or onto Tarifa (1.5 hours) and its world famous kite & wind-surfing bay on the Atlantic coast surrounded by huge sand dunes, you will find our apartment the ideal base for your holiday!

Golf Information:

From the first time golfers to the amateurs and professionals alike, our apartment is centrally located to serve all the courses of the Costa del Golf. The prestigious, recently completed Santa Clara is just across the road. Whilst Santa Maria, Los Monteros, Miraflores, Cabopino Club de Golf, Aloha, La Zagaleta, El Paraiso Club de Golf, Los Arqueros, Monte Mayor, Atalaya Golf and Rio Real are all quite literally on your doorstep, with many more local courses of differing standards close by, such as: La Quinta; Los Naranjos; Los Flamingos and Marbella Club to name but a few. Further west is San Roque, home of the European Tour in the winter and Valderama, which hosted the Ryder Cup. Almenara and Sotogrande are on the same estate. With Mountain and Link courses, practice areas, driving ranges, putting greens, and for the evening's even floodlit golf is available only a few minutes drive away. The Club Houses, as one would expect, are of an exceptionally high standard.
