Local Facilities:
We are very close to several supermarkets. Nearest is Opencor (08.00am to 02.00pm, 365 days a year) also Supersol at the Centro Plaza with parking , it is larger and offers a delivery service for a spend over 60 euro, sell many British items like baked beans and Robinson's juice - so children's' needs covered. Slightly further afield is Mercadona, larger again, parking - next door is a good pharmacy. In Marbella there is the covered food market an experience to see all the fish. In El Corte Ingles there is a Hypercor with very impressive fish and meat counter, large choice of wines, cheeses. The nearby street markets, Saturday at Centro Plaza is limited for food, more clothing, flowers, local arts and crafts...and on Thursday in San Pedro - there is a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables very reasonably priced. The apartment is fully equipped for the keenest of cooks. There are numerous banks within walking distance as is a taxi rank at the rear of the Sun Plaza Hotel.
Restaurants:
The selection is huge and does change. Around the apartment we have many including a Chinese, a Tapas bar 'Eldorado', and Pollo Andaluz. At the Centro Plaza Yanx is very popular. Down by Sun Plaza Hotel and in the squares either side are a wide range, including Reginas (Italian with live music some evenings), Terra Sana and the Bangkok Thai is one block across to the west. We have a lot of information on local restaurants with maps and contact tel. numbers for reservations. For gourmet cooking Benahavis offers a wide selection as does Marbella. There are many beach restaurants, you can hire out sunbeds (optional) and come in for lunch during the hottest part of the day - some are open in the winter for lunches with glorious views of the sea, some offer swimming pools as alternative to the sea. There are many beach clubs, details of these found in the apt, or ask our on site agent. There are also Swedish, German, French, and of course Spanish restaurants all close by
Golf/Tennis/Ski/Fishing/Other:
The apartment is based at the southern end of the golf valley with Aloha, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and La Quinta being a short drive away - along the coast there are many other courses, inc. several 9 holes. There are tennis courts up towards Aloha. The skiing is at Granada, about two and a half hours drive, can do it as a day out if you just want to try it out. Fishing trips leave from Puerto Banus and other ports along the coast including Estepona (dolphin safaris in the early evening are popular) We can supply you with further information on any of these if required Other activities include 10 pin bowling at La Canada, there are cinemas showing english language films and with the endless shopping opportunities you are covered should you experience a rainy day! You can walk up in the mountains, or along the coast with its paved promenade - walk to Marbella and catch a boat back. There are mountain villages, lakes and national parks and best of all is the sunshine
