Notes to the rental rates

  • A deposit of 25% of the rent is required to secure your booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before your arrival date. A damages deposit 33% of the rent is also due 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. If a booking is made less than 8 weeks before the arrival date, 100% plus the damages deposit is required to secure the booking.
    If you cancel, or fail to pay the balance by the due date, all amounts paid to secure the booking are forfeit, and only the damages deposit will be returned. Damages deposits, less any deductions (including utility charges as appropriate) are returnable 14 days after the departure date. Meals may be cooked by our staff by arrangement at additional cost. An Eco-efficient allowance of 100 units of electricity per week is included. The rental includes a change of bed linen once weekly. Additional utility costs will be added. Breakages will be recharged on a replacement as new cost basis. Tenants are strongly encouraged to take out travel and medical insurance.
  • A meet and greet service is available at a small extra charge. Please note that we reserve the right to make a 7% surcharge on the total rental if the is occupancy greater then 10 people at any time during the rental period.

  • The quality of your holiday sleep is our priority! We have superior beds in all 5 luxurious principal bedrooms and comfortable collapsible beds in the 6th bedroom (the 'Large Bedroom'), which may also be used as a games room. All bed linen is 100% cotton, mainly Egyptian, & all duvets & pillows are duck/goose feather/down (alternatives available for allergy sufferers on request). 3 of the 4 main bedrooms feature balconies, including one large balcony overlooking the pool. The under floor-heated marble floors are adorned with Persian carpets. Each room includes a large fitted wardrobe in traditional Andalucian style, recalling the Moorish splendour of the Alhambra, Granada; the Master Suite includes a Dressing Room, with space for a cot or full size bed suitable for a young child. All rooms feature views to the sea, local countryside &/or mountains.

The villa features many golf course photos by the owner, who is an acclaimed golf course photographer & writer. The living & dining room walls are adorned with pastel and oil seascapes by the talented golfer, broadcaster and artist Sarah Sanderson. Musicians will relish using the Bosendorfer (the 'Bentley' of pianos) in the Living Room and our Yamaha Clavinova digital piano/orchestra in the Hall (headphones available!).

Jacuzzi

We have recently installed an outdoor jacuzzi in the extension to the garden

Golf Information:

This villa is especially suited to golfers. You can walk to the 12th tee of Robert Trent Jones Snr's Marbella Golf in a couple of minutes or drive to its clubhouse (or adjoining Santa Clara's) in a few more. The rest of the coast from Valderrama & Sotogrande to Malaga overflows with courses to suit all players' needs. Santa Clara also features excellent practice facilities. The house is the Marbella base of NZ tour pro and course designer Greg Turner (one of the few to have beaten Tiger Woods), and is owned by the editor/photographer of the acclaimed Pocket Guide to Golf Courses: Spain & Portugal, which was written in the Blue Bedroom. A free copy of the book is given to every golfer staying at the house. We are extremely well connected within the Iberian golf world, and can arrange tailor-made golf or golf and culture holidays, from a self-catering basis right through to a tour hosted by Greg Turner or other golf playing/course design/photography professionals, as suits the requirements of the party.
