WOW!

PERFECT location, half way between the Balcon & Burriana Beach. The flat itself is also PERFECT. Immaculate, comfortable & attractive. Exactly as pictured. Lift was a nice touch after the steps down to the beaches.
The immediate beach, Carabeillo, is beautiful and small. Walk 3 minutes east and you are on Burriana if you are into large "blue flag" beaches. The flat had some REALLY handy extras stashed away in the closet. Coolers, straw beach mats, a selection of sturdy umbrellas & folding chairs).
The safe was easy to use and a nice touch, even though the building is secure and over 9 days of stumbling home in the middle of the night we didn't see anything shady.
The flat is in a quiet neighbourhood with several shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. It's so easy to find, their instructions are perfect.
The balcony was HUGE. The shutters were nice, there was a crazy storm one night (November) but once those shutters are down we couldn't hear a thing.
Now to go off topic...
If you want free wifi, we found the coolest little spot. I don't even know if it has a name but it's a bar/hookah lounge that you HAVE to see, about 3 minutes west of the flat along the Calle de la Carabeo, on the right, across from the stairs down to the Carabeo beach.
We quickly became addicted to this pizza joint about another 3 minutes further along the road. It's on the left (south) and has a sign outside showing €5 for a takeaway pizza. Suffice to say we aren't really pizza fans but we bought 6 pizzas over our stay...
There is a decent grocer on the corner of the neighbouring apartment, and one with a better selection one block north.
Public transit from Malaga was cheap and easy, but I hear they arrange a transfer service if you are so inclined. Nerja caves were VERY impressive! I didn't expect much but that was totally worth it - you only need a couple of hours for that side trip.
If you can, do your fruit/veg shopping at the market. I forget which days it is open but it was quite nice and we bargained and haggled for several fun hours.
If you find time to turn on the TV, you'll find tons of english channels (i took the liberty of adding the family-friendly ones to the favourites for future users)
We had a great time, the flat was amazing and you can stop looking now, just book it!
