El Capistrano village, with its gardens of exotic flowers is the setting for this lovely apartment, only 3 mins walk from a beautiful pool. An open plan modern kitchen and spacious living area, cooled by fans (as is the bedroom) leads onto a large balcony with awning. The view of the sea and mountains is breathtaking. The apartment is close to Burriana beach, with its delightful beach cafes and also the picturesque old fishing village of Nerja.

THE APARTMENT - further details: This beautiful apartment is situated in a quiet lane with close and easy access to parking. It is on the third (top) floor, with panoramic views over the sea from a completely private balcony. Shaded by a wind down awning, this is the perfect spot to BBQ and enjoy eating outside. Inside the emphasis is on luxury and comfort. The whole apartment has been recently refurbished to include new, fully equipped, modern kitchen, shower room and furnishings throughout. .

EL CAPISTRANO, BEACH, NERJA TOWN: The beautifully maintained complex has 2 exclusive swimming pools, with paddling pools, only 3 mins walk. Also 3 mins are supermarket, restaurant, the attractive 'Cave Bar', (modelled on the nearby Caves of Nerja), Car hire and money exchange. Tennis is 5 mins on foot. The charming, small, bustling town of Nerja,only 15 mins walk, has an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants, ranging from cheap and cheerful to the best gourmet cuisine Equally close is Burriana beach with its fresh fish restaurants and water sports. . Wonderful walks and pony treks can be experienced in the Almijara mountains behind El Capistrano

TRANSPORT: Malaga airport to El Capistrano takes approx 45 mins by car. Taxis are easily available at the airport or you can take a bus from Malaga which stops at the entrance to El Capistrano. There is an excellent bus service between Nerja and all major towns and villages. The local taxi service is good and there is a bus linking El Capistrano with Burriana beach and Nerja town. A trip to the charming old Moorish village of Frigiliana is a must and the drive to the pretty white village of Competa is enchanting. Granada is under 2 hrs car drive on good roads.

The ideal holiday for us

Excellent communications from Jenny, the owner, clear directions and guidance. The apartment was exactly as described, the pool and terrace, inviting, and with friendly bar staff too. A 20 minute walk to the beach was fine, although uphill on the way back !!!

The village is very clean and well kept, the supermarket will get you going when you arrive initially but use the SuperSol Supermarket to stock up and save money. Local buses efficient and timely.

Overall, the holiday was a success and I would recomend to others with no problems at all.

Excellent comfortable apartment, light and airy with beautiful terrace to enjoy meals and all day sunshine. Scenic location and wonderful pool and shop close by. Nerja has fabulous scenery and many restaurants to enjoy. Would recommend this property.

Quiet and charming

Capistrano village is set in beautiful gardens which have been designed like a typical Andalucian village. With its narrow alleyways and squares it is quite charming, there are also large grassy areas with seating. In May we found it very peaceful the majority of the time we could only hear bird song. There are two pools on the complex both of a reasonable size. The pool furthest from the apartment maybe the better option because during our stay there were birds nesting by the closest pool, and the droppings were around the edges of the pool and could also have been in the pool. The complex is also built on a hill; the walk from the entrance of the village to the apartment was quite steep.
The whole of the apartment looks as though it had been recently painted and refurbished; it therefore had a clean feel about it. The balcony had the sun for the majority of the day and well into the evening. There are also fantastic views from the balcony over the tops of Capistrano village, Nerja and the sea. There are 4 electrical power cables that pass in close proximity, in front of the apartment, running across the view, for some reason these do not appear to show up in the photo of the “View towards the sea, from the balcony” picture. The bedroom was perfectly functional, although we thought it was quite small. The bathroom is entered via the bedroom and consists of a toilet, basin and shower cubicle. We personally found the bathroom and in particular the shower cubicle very small as we continually knocked the tap, changing the water temperature. Overall we thought that the apartment was of a good quality and situated well in the village. We were unable to find an information pack on the owner’s favourite restaurants, trips and things to do, so it may be worth doing a bit of research before you go.
The village is situated high above the sea and Nerja, and although Burriana beach is only a short distance away it is a very steep walk back up to the apartment, there are some nice restaurants on the beach front. Nerja’s “Balcon de Europa” is about a 25 minute walk (at a gentle pace) and has some lovely restaurants, the streets are narrow but, that’s its charm. The walk back from here is gentler than Burriana, until you reach the village. The walk to Torrecilla beach and its nearby restaurants takes about 35 minutes and is a similar walk to that of the Balcon. If anyone has mobility problems, in our opinion you would definitely need a car for this resort and complex.

Beautiful gardens and such a peaceful setting!
Lovely modern apartment equipped with all our needs. Cleaning standards were excellent!
What a joy to sleep in comfortable beds!
Very close to pool area, good supermarkets and only a short walk to the beach.
Our most enjoyable holiday break in a long time!

Nice place, easy access to swimming pool,shops,restaurant. Nice,silent and clean environment.Beach is close.
We only had problems with the keys (we couldn't open the door with the copied keys).
