Ideally situated, a five-minute stroll takes you to several beautiful beaches and to the center of Nerja; it’s all so close you don’t even need a car! Very tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, it is a light and airy apartment, with ceiling fans in all rooms. The apartment is on the top (3rd) floor of this Spanish residential property that is situated in the old Spanish quarter. It is not part of a high-rise complex and all our neighbours are local Spanish people. Next door is a bakery and grocery shops, and a pharmacy; bars and restaurants are very nearby. The views of the mountains from the balcony are superb and the Mediterranean can be seen from the kitchen window. The apartment was recently featured in the Dream Holiday Homes supplement of the Guardian newspaper as representing excellent value for money.

Nerja, situated approximately 50 km east of Malaga, is a town that has retained much of its original character. It is open all year round, unlike some Spanish resorts that are only open in the summer months, and there are no large hotel complexes or abundance of clubs and discos. In its sheltered location, it enjoys a dry sunny climate all year with very mild winters when it is often warm enough to sunbathe. The town is lively and has a wealth of varied bars, restaurants and cafes to suite all tastes. The area has many local attractions and a short distance away are Malaga, Granada, Rhonda and the Sierras for winter skiing. The surrounding countryside is staggering in its beauty: Nerja borders the National Park of the Sierra Almijara, a mountainous region with an abundance of wildlife, and ideal walking country.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The rent is based on two people occupying the apartment; additional people are charged a flat rate of £20 each per person, per week. Extra days are charged pro-rata. Families are welcome, but we do restrict children under the age of 10 years from staying in the apartment.
    The rent includes water, gas and electricity, bed linen and towels (except beach towels). High season rental periods are usually Saturday-to-Saturday, but are sometimes negotiable. Arrival time is 14.30 and departure time no later than 10.30 to allow for sufficient time for cleaning and preparation for new arrivals. Linen and towels are changed before your arrival and are changed weekly during your stay. A deposit of 50% of the full rental amount is payable upon booking with the balance payable 8 week prior to your start date. In case of cancellation, refunds will be made on a sliding scale rate according to the amount of notification given, (details are supplied upon booking).
  • Please note that a £10 per week heating charge supplement applies to rentals between November and February (inclusive).

We had a lovely break the property was well set out. Very handy for everywhere as we wanted a hol. without too much driving. It was very clean and tidy also had everything for the beach. We had some basic items like tea coffee sugar cereals etc. and cleaning items too.I would recomend it to a freind. The only down side it was quite noisey outside with it being on a corner but not all the time`! but it was really good value for money and would consider going again if we were to go back to nerja in the future!!!Christine and Geoff from vendee France

Right from the start Brian, the owner, was most helpful and informative. The directions to the flat and the instructions for the use of equipment were clear and straightforward.

The flat was comfortable, clean, bright and airy. It was very well equipped and everything was in working order. There are great views over the town to the mountains.

I have no hesitation at all in recommending this property which was excellent value. The one slight drawback for some might be its location on the fourth floor without a lift.

Nerja is a lively town without being noisy and there is a wide range of restaurants. We particularly liked Pepe Rico's. Having a leisurely coffee on the Balcon de Europa was always very pleasant.

The Nerja caves are well worth a visit. We had a car and visited some other spots including the Alhambra which was most impressive and the unspoilt town of Antequera. Frigiliana too is worth a visit.

We also did a little walking around the area and I, Peter, did a couple of the walks described in the book "Walking in Andalucia." These, although described as medium, were fairly strenuous; it is a hilly area!

The beaches and beach restaurants are good too.

At the centre of everything

My husband, daughter (28) and I were looking for an affordable holiday which did not need car hire and we found the ideal place. The owner could not have been more accommodating and informative, the location was spot on for everything, shopping, various beaches, the ability to come quickly from the beach and have a rest before setting out for the evening, We were right at the centre of everything in Nerja Town but with the added leisure of being amongst the locals and getting a good sleep at night. We used the local transport to sightsee and I have recommended this apartment to family and friends and hope to use it again myself.

I have rented several properties in Spain, but this one is the first I shall return to. Most accurate in every description, perfectly situated, clean, service as promised and very functional for my purpose. The owner is kind and has an exellent approach to his customer.
The other residents of the building are all calm and kind people. This flat is on the top floor and has windows heading towards 3 world corners which gives air. It is situated in a very calm part of Nerja, very close to the Spanish language school, but also not far away from bars, beaches and boutiques. Yet there are small Spanish supermarkets ande bakeries at hand. .
I have already recommended this flat to a friend of mine and shall do so further on. Only problem would be a 4 member family at the balcony at one time! It is indeed a balcony for singles.
Don´t be suspicious because of the low price. You get a lot more than you pay for!
