This home is part of a small quiet gated community, designed in typical Andalusian style, set in tropical gardens with an outdoor swimming pool, which is open all year round. It comprises an entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room elegantly combining dining and living areas which lead to a private terrace, ideal for dining al fresco or sunbathing. There is a downstairs toilet with wash hand basin located off the entrance hall. Upstairs the accommodation comprises of two bedrooms & a bathroom. The main bedroom has a large 5ft double bed, built in wardrobe, dressing table, 2 lockers, a chair and a small balcony. The other bedroom has 2 single beds, a built in wardrobe, a locker, chest of drawers & a small balcony. A fold up bed is also available. The bathroom has a large shower area, toilet, wash hand basin & storage press. It does not have a bath. Baby equipment, such as baby bath, travel cot and high chair are available, on request.

Nerja is a small town with extremely beautiful natural scenery, surrounded by mountains & beaches. It can easily be explored by strolling through the narrow winding streets, where you will discover interesting shops, restaurants, bars & small areas shaded by orange trees & pagodas where you can rest and watch the world go by. It is an ideal location to explore the old white villages & the renowned pre-historic Nerja caves. Granada with its famous Alhambra Palace & the Sierra Nevada Mountains where one can ski from December to March is less than a 2 hour drive. Day trips to Gibraltar, Cordoba, Seville and Morocco are possible from here. In the nearby countryside one can see traditional farming methods in use, including carts drawn by bullocks and farmers on the backs of mules with their fresh fruit & vegetables. This area boasts at having the best all year round climate in Europe, with very pleasant winters.

Ideal location: This home is located in Bajamar 2, Calle Ramon y Cajal, about 150 metres from the Parador Hotel which is well signposted once you arrive in Nerja. The house is only a few minutes stroll to the old quarter of the town, which has remained virtually untouched with it's narrow streets, leading to the main square and the Balcon de Europa, which is the focal point of the town and where the tourist office can be found. Burriana Beach is approx 10 min walk away,where you will also find a great variety of restaurants and bars.

Entertainment/activities: There are three golf courses within 15/20 minutes drive away. The tennis court at the Parador Hotel is open to the public. Shoppers are well catered for - apart from the local boutiques, supermarkets and the regular Tuesday market, there is a large shopping centre with cinemas and restaurants about 15 minutes drive away, called El Ingenio. Here you can get almost everything, under one roof. Nearby, there is a water park which opens during summer months.

Nerja is Spain's best kept, is an idyllic and peaceful location and a great place to get way from it all. The area caters mainly for couples and families who appreciate good food and beverages. It is a law abiding area and is relatively crime free. You will enjoy your stay here.

Lovely stay

Very confortable and cool. Pretty Location. Nice quiet pool. And handy for Burriana and Town. Sky and internet a must for teenagers!

Owner's Response: Great that you had a nice break. Many of my guests appreciate being able to use the internet as it can be very expensive and time consuming going to internet cafes every day. Also being able to make free phone calls is an added bonus. The Sky satellite system allows people to keep in touch with world events.

Relaxing beach holiday

We've just had a great week in Nerja. Apartment was lovely, as was the pool. About a ten minute walk to the beach and lots of restaurants, and similar distance to the town centre.

Had no problems - and the weather was superb.

A lovely lovely holiday

We just got back from our second visit to Bajamar 2 and have to say that, yet again, Joan did herself proud. The house is clean and pretty toddler-friendly. My son loved the communal pool and it was really handy being so close to the best beach in Nerja. Thanks again Joan for being there if there were any problems.
Thoroughly recommend this house to anyone with a young family.

Perfect place to stay in NERJA

This is a spotlessly clean house, very well equiped, and the owner has really thought of everything for the holiday-maker. The surrounding garden and pool area are very well maintained. The location is excellent. A quiet residential street only a short walk to the beach and old town. Everything on the doorstep. Having stayed in Nerja on many occasions, this accommodation was our best choice. Joan's hospitality was excellent. We were made feel very welcome, with assistance and advice only a phone-call away. HIGHLY recommended!
